Nordschleife: is it at all possible? - Spoiler alert: no

Best track from Euro imho is a bit debatable...
Only here in Italy, Mugello and Imola eats over Misano.

But that's not my point.
What i mean is that, imho, the whole American and Asian tracklists are better that the Euro.
Not only to drive, but also to race (proper width, layout, and so on)

 

I guess it all comes down to where the sales are. If US sales are outstripping Asian market sales or vice versa, that would probably drive the direction they go in. While I do hope this game continues to flesh itself out, it will ultimately become a process of diminishing returns. I think this ICGT with the marquis races it has was a no-brainer choice. Asia and Americas might be easy ones to pedal too, but as you get into the undercard series and as the game ages (even though it is built for a long run) each successive DLC will struggle more and more to offset its development cost. I am much more interested in the next title they are looking to develop. I think multi-class racing is the logical choice, but with the pending changes and uncertainly in both the WEC and IMSA, it's probably better that they have their hands full right now with SRO.

 

I mean the VLN series is a complete series which races on "only" (Nordschleife is huge, could count as 5 tracks) on one track. But speculation for that is wayyyyy to early even if it is in the idea bubble. VLN (and N24 for that matter) is ALL about multiclass racing (GT3, GT4, Porsche Cup, BMW M240i Cup, Millions of privateer teams in their own cars). Right now it just wouldn't make sense, as GT3s only just don't do the series justice.

Therefore: Give it a few more years and then maybe perhaps if we're all behaved this might be on the radar a bit more

Edit: But I have to agree with you on the point that they're releasing full packs and not bits of content. Massive fan of that strategy! Thoroughly enjoying the new DLC!

 

Mugello is a really great one, Imola too.
But Imola is in every 2nd sim, and Mugello is sadly a bit forgotten.
You Italians really have awesome racetracks btw Vallelunga is also great.

We just got Four stunning, Iconic and in this Quality very rare new Tracks for ACC and all some Guys are complaining is: But No Nord... Yes, no Nord and no Nord ever in this Game. Just deal... With... It! I personally Really thought that most of the Guys here are grown Men, with a certain degree of Intelligence and not little Kids that are stomping with their Feet. Seems i was wrong.

Bathurst is mini Nords, at least for me .
I love the track but it literally murders my CC (from 91 down to 82) and my total noobness on Suzuka doesn´t help in that regard

With that said, if I really need to see the Nordschleife I just fire up AC, no big drama for me .

P.s.: I´d love to see some of the US and Asian BPWC tracks

 

There are so many options for Nords, nothing wrong with original AC, just don’t try to race GT3 cars after ACC, or do, then you will see the giant leap ACC has taken with physics

Exactly, if they add VLN with all the cars for a season as well as all the layouts, that's fine. But I like ACC because it focuses on one specific organiser and its different events, I get the fun of something like AC1 because you can experience cars you cannot afford or see every day, but before you learn the intricacies or how to get the most of it over an entire race weekend, you have long moved on to the next car.

This is where ACC excels, IMO. I personally tend to stick to one car in ACC and then race it for months, you learn something about the handling every time you drive it - as well as setup trial and error. It makes you almost think you're a real racing driver. There are other sims that do that as well, but not so excellently as ACC.

 

Then they should've named ACC something different, in my opinion. Assetto Corsa is now an established brand, Competizione fits for any racing series. What are they going to call future games then? If they want to cover a different series? Seems way too limiting.

 

AC:Nordschleife. Not even any cars, just the Nordschleife. You can go for long walks and really get to appreciate it. It will have a fully simulated forest to get lost in and everything.

 

Yes. It’s ACC not AC SRO... SRO do actually use the Nordschleife for their Curbstone track days though.

IRacing and Raceroom have multiple licences within their products. The Nordschleife would be massive for ACC.

 

Just to clarify, I'm not complaining. They have their reasons, they've surely made the best deal and decision they could, gave the sim a good title that ties into the AC brand and ACC's content is outstanding. But it's limiting nonetheless. Also, who says SRO will never do something there, I wouldn't definitively ruling out anything.

Either way, I'm sure any upcoming content will be good.
