1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Super GT.... Nice!

Or the licence could be Holden so with the Ford, Merc and Nissan licenses, DP4 could be healthy mix of V8 Supercars with Bathurst..............

Ford ok but Ford Europe (UK + Germany), according to Wikipedia the Escort Mk1 (1967) was developed by Ford UK, firstly produced in UK, best seller there and used British engines such as Kent Crossflow, Lotus & Cosworth.

  5. Since when was the Ford Escort an American car?

Aston Martin would be a great addition for obvious reasons. Personally I dont have any interest in Jag's though. Theyre bulky road cars mostly, some do look great but thats where my interest in them ends.

I think Honda is a pretty good pick, more so than people might think! Aside from the NSX and S2000, there are also the Civic touring cars, GT300 and GT500 cars, and also that new car/bike combination mentioned above. The fun thing about the Japanese GT championship is, they are going to work together with the European and American side of GT racing from 2016 on I believe. This means that GT300 cars will be identical in performance to GT3, and GT500 cars will be similar to the DTM series cars aka silhouette racing. Honda of course are also very much invested in many racing series where you might not visually see a Honda. They supply engines for Indycar and in the past also for the WEC and the American counterpart ALMS (although the ALMS no longer exists, thats now the Tudor USCC I believe) and Ive probably forgot to mention some other Honda things :p

Whatever car make it will be, I hope its one that both has fun to drive sporty road cars as well as competition cars that can fit in the categories already present in AC. I would certainly welcome a new BTCC category, with both rear wheel drive and front wheel drive touring cars, and also some GT4 cars :D

  8. My parents bought a Ford Escort the first year it came out and three years later it became my first car. For as big of a POS as it was I have to give it credit for being tough; I jumped that sucker about three feet in the air once and other than the bottom of it being as flat as a pancake it continued to run and drive.

I predict the new manufacturer is either Maserati, Honda, or Mazda. Wish it was Porsche, of course, but we know that can't be.

I take it its not the Zakspeed Escort?

I personally would love the brand to be Aston Martin. I think they have enough cars in their catalogue to cover all areas, race / road cars, both modern and historic. I really can't see it being Porsche as much as it would be a total nuke strike, I just don't think its possible.

Brands in December sounds good, however even though im a person who likes GT3, I personally think there are perhaps enough GT3s now in AC, especially as McLaren and Mercedes are already represented. They will still be nice though as they are race cars and im here for race cars so I can't complain too much.

I doubt it will be Aston Martin. It's way to expensive for Kunos. Otherwise if they managed to get the license I would be more than happy about it.

Hello there, I'm sorry to say that I just ran over your dog, in my Jaaaaaaag.

I like that a lot of people are montioning Jaguar. Many fantastic cars, especially in the past. Then something gone wrong in british car industry. But it frequently produced incredible cars. Why CX75 is not in production I'll never understand. F-type is amazing, everybody talks how insane it sounds. Old heritage cars, those M.Sayer designed, such as Lightweight Lowdrar Etype, Dtype.... oh...

However I'm very convinced by Mazda too.

The problem with Jaguar is that they have no modern motorsport programs, however neither does Alfa Romeo, so dunno, who knows. They have an amazing heritage motorsport selection though (again, just like Alfa).

    It is the same,
Your points leads to "you cannot race, race cars IRL or Hypercars IRL, so you drive them in AC"
    but
you also cannot Race those roadcars IRL in those tracks or you cannot drive Alfa Romeo 4C IRL and have fun with.

so I am so happy with Roadcars and Classic race cars.

Personally I don't really like vintage road cars. Usually they tend to be bad handling, seriously under powered and not fun to drive or race. For a racing game I'd like to drive cars that are meant to be driven on the track. Doesn't mean the cars need to always have big slicks, huge wings and tons of horsepower. But it should not be some bone stock grocery getter which is never supposed to be driven fast. Something like toyota corolla or ford focus is not fun to drive as it is for example. But remove some weight of the car, give it a rollcage and sports suspension (basically just track oriented springs, dampers and arbs) and suddenly it can be very fun car.

With some cars it is more on the edge. A supra or rx7 can be fun even if it comes straight from the showroom floor but if given the choise why not give the car some trackday preparation so it can do well what is expected of it. Imho the best road car in ac is the drift bmw e30. I certainly hope we see more "drift" cars in the future.

Sorry for the deleted post.. I watched the whole video but in the end the only "juicy" part was already reported by Quffy..

There's a long interview with Stefano but I am not sure it adds much to what we already know. Answering a question on contacts between cars in MP, he says they may consider adopting a way to better "simulate" the contact that is already in NK Pro. Sector times in MP: they may add them. They won't integrate custom third-party apps in the game because AC is designed to have external apps developed by third parties. Using AC without a mouse on the PC version: he acknowledges it is a thing to consider especially for Oculus Rift and for the AC versions customized for fairs, events etc.

And there's a load of road cars too..... G40R, G60 and GRDC...

that would actually be a pretty good idea, i imagine it would be rather cheap considering they arent exactly large. Not likely though however as the final annual announcement is always a powerhouse.
