1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

How about a ultrawide monitor plus Trackir?

    Dear all:

Have anyone of you the experience of playing AC with a ultrawide monitor (21:9) together with a Trackir? Does it make a different experience playing the game? Is that good? Thank you a lot!

I had triple 1080p monitors, and then changed to the 34" lg 1440p UW, and then moved back to triples but 1440p this time. I have a trackIR, and with triples it is an extremely weird sensation and I don't like it and therefore don't use it for my triple screen gaming. I can turn my head in real life and see what I need to see from the car, rotating the view doesn't help at all. For a single screen setup however it works very nicely. The UW aspect ratio honestly doesn't give you any more truly usable peripheral view in racing sims. The extra bit of view that it does give is nice - don't get me wrong - but it's a FAR FAR cry from a triple setup. Based on this lack of peripheral view using a tIR to look around is definitely an advantage but still takes getting used to. Some of my friends didn't like using it with the single screen, they thought it was throwing them off their lines and making car placement hard. I think they were just thinking too hard about looking into corners and such instead of just being natural and letting it do what it's supposed to. It took some time to get used to it though. That being said TrackIR works very well with AC since they have unlimited the head movement and speed of looking around, and for a single screen setup -UW or 16;9 - I'd definitely rec getting one.

I use a TrackIR with my somewhat small triple screen setup. I have the TrackIR set up for 1 to 1 movement. The default is much more and I feel it is to much. The way I have it set up, I like it. I would have to really have some huge monitors to give up the TrackIR.

21:9 is amazing. Obviously it's better than a single 16:9.

Can't wait to get something like this when they're under $1,000:

I went from triple 27" 16:9 to an X34 and I'm surprised how little I miss the triples. I can get the X34 closer due to the great stand design and higher resolution, and the smoothness of it compared to my previous 60Hz Samsungs is mindblowing. It's an amazing screen in all respects, and I really think it's just about big enough to be useful for racing games, even coming from triples. I don't use TrackIR, never could stand to use it with racing games, so I can't comment on that.

    Yep,

I'm using LG 34" Curved 21:9 Monitor @ 3440 x 1440 along with my accent TrackIR 3 (with Vector upgrade) works very well in AC .... I was running with GTX 660 at medium settings and getting around 60FPS .. updated to GTX 980 TI yesterday and ramped everything up to Ultra/Max settings and getting around 80FPS .... looks awesome and very immersive once you get the cockpit view setup right and tune the TrackIR profile. being able to look into the apex of a hairpin is fantastic.

    Cheers

Quite timely, as I'm looking at moving up to 34" UW (no trackIR), as I really have no way to fit mounting 3 monitors. Is 60Hz ok?

@Atle Dreier, what model of 34" do you have?

With the limited 34" monitors over here, found this: http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/BDM3490UC_00/brilliance-curved-ultrawide-lcd-display but not sure how it is.

If your current monitor is 60hz, then UW would be better and you won't be missing higher refresh rates. I moved from 144hz to 29" UW 75hz w/freesync and don't really miss it. 34" 1440p is the way to go if you have the money, but if you are ok with 1080p I would recommend the LG 34um67, as it can do 75hz over displayport on both nvidia and AMD cards.

TrackIR is better in flight sims than racing IMO. Racing works best with ultrawide or triples, while TrackIR + 1 screen is okay option.

With triple screen TrackIR is a bit weird, unless you align all the screens in one competely straight line, instead side screens being angled towards player. I have triples + TrackIR which I bought earlier, I sometimes use them this way. Who says in triplescreen, the side screens must be angled towards player? :p They can be in straight line too, this in fact prevents all kind of perspective errors from happening, and picture is seamless, no matter what height you look it at from.

But anyway, all has been pretty much said here. Ultrawide + TrackIR works obviously well, since it's one seamless picture, which you can then pan around freely. Being able to do that adds to immersion too. With triples, not so well. But with triples I can't see much reason one should buy TrackIR, I just use it (sometimes) because I had it before getting triples and haven't sold it. And I also do a bit of flight simming.

In flight sims seeing up and down is equally important (especially combat flight sims) thus only 3 screens or ultrawide isn't ideal. In racing, little reason unless you wanna look at the gorgeous interiors of AC. But then, if you use hidden wheel/driver arms option, it will look weird when the whole wheel is missing :D

But anyway, Track IR is never quite as intuitive and natural feeling as triples, in Racing. Because with triples it's enough that you turn just eyes, not head.

I have to agree with you.. I also sell my triple screen setup and then bought X34.. I don't miss my triples at all.. :) X34 is wide enough and overclocked to 100hz, it's best you can get atm.

I would also go for the Edtracker pro instead of Trackir.
Half the price and uses a gyroscope so no messing around with camera's:

While at it, how much did you guys get the X34 for from your location? Were the issues reported from a particular version/release? Thanks.

I paid nok 12000 for mine. My particular screen won't do 100Hz without dropping frames though. 95 is rock solid.

Monitor price was 1299€. It's a lot of money... I have a latest firmware and so far no issues. I'm happy with it....

Triple monitor setup is nice and functional, but it's really expensive if you want a good one. Not to mention a single 21:9.
Did you consider buying an oculus? I know it's another thing, but at the cost of a good monitor you can buy it and trust me, there's nothing that can be compared to it.
You're really INTO the car. I'm using a DK2 now and can't wait for the new one to arrive.

I had a DK2. Resolution is not there yet, and won't be for a good while yet. Once the wow-factor is over it's pretty obvious. 4K per eye is the MINIMUM, or if they can overcome the optics limitation and have more pixels in the center and not on the sides, then maybe it'll become usable.

I ordered one of these just the other day. Mainly for use with Elite: Dangerous but interested to see how it goes with AC.

Sure the res is still not on par, but honestly while driving it's not an issue for me. I'm not aiming at a far enemy or something.
Immersion > Resolution. At least for me, at least for AC.

There's no way you can face an apex with the same precision using (any) monitor setup.
