1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

If the mod app i'm using shows correct tyre life that ^ might explain why the 935/78 was faster a couple of laps in when the tyres were already starting to go off.

Yeah, I find that hard to believe, did a 8:01 on semislicks and optimal track grip.Care to share that lap?
Nvm, it was BTG, I was talking about the full layout, no manufacturer records lap times on BTG, those are the laps I'm trying to compare with.

    7:51 actually. :p

I've did barely couple of laps in each car (in some not even whole laps), because I was jumping from one to the other, so I have only couple words.

Cayman - I'm very surprised by it, positively, it's not a nice looking car (nor sounding) but it's very entertaining on the 'Ring. Drove on streets and I don't feel the need to switch to semislicks with it. With full tank, default setup and street tyres I did 7:51 on the BTG layout, so I guess with semis and some setup tweaks it will be a good match for some of the popular street cars in AC.

918 - That acceleration out of corners is ridiculous

917 - The above statement isn't true anymore, wasn't "that" hard to drive. I mean it isn't easy, I didn't crash it on my first lap

Moby Dick - Unlike 917, I was crashing it like a maniac, rage quit, need to go back.

911 Carrera - Something is wrong with this car, I'm able to slide it (won't use drift word to not offend drifters with what I do :D). So it's a major bug ;)

RSR - She's a star and that sound alone is enough to keep me driving it. I think I like that sound the most out of all done by KS, really awesome.

GT4 - Great sound again, need to drive it for longer than couple of corners on the 'Ring. Sorry I got bored of that quickly, when I knew the whole roster of classic race cars is ready to get tested.

Panamera - Yes, I drove it. I can't believe I'll say it, but... bbuut, it wasn't bad on the 'Ring. ;)

Interesting. Does it (98-99%) apply to Nordschleife too?

Well, I've just destroyed a priceless piece of automotive history. I can't get this Moby Dick to turn! I know, I'm driving too fast into the turns... But she is a crazy beast of a machine. 4 laps at Spa - none clean. Smashed every part of the car. Yup...Porsche won't be inviting me to track day any time again in the future.

stay a tiny bit on the brake... like just 5% of pedal range, while turning in not more, not less. Also make sure you're not touching the accelerator.

@Aristotelis Sorry to bother you once more. But when you say that more track grip might be better, I´d like to know what you think of as good values, so far I usually use 100% for racing with modern cars, 98% (Fast) on trackdays or for full Nordschleife timed laps and Green track for Touristenfahrten. Is that range still valid and sensible or would you advise to use more grip?

And one other question, did you manage to realize the rear wheel steering of the Carrera in the way that it´s speed dependent? I believe it was advertised as turning against the front wheels below 160 km/h and starting to turn with the front wheels above that speed to limit oversteer?
I need to drive some more laps with this one to get a real feel for it, maybe I´ll find it out than. Couldn´t spend too much time with 1 car yesterday as they are all so damn good. Even the ones I wasn´t really that excited for.

Thanks for all those hours of work, it really shows!

  7. @Berry laps the full track, not BTG.

@Aristotelis, never understood why people have a hard on for lapping on a crappy, dusty as hell level track and claim its more realistic lol. It's terrible IRL and it's terrible in the sim... :p

Very nice DLC, indeed! Still stuck with the 1974 RSR 3.0 I cant take my hands and feet off of it :D

  9. Tips for driving Moby Dick: Ditch the rear wing, add some more rear ARB, tuck the car in before the apex and gun it.

My thoughts so far on the cars I drove last night.

The 911 Carrera S was the first car I drove and boy is it amazing. One of those sim cars that is just an incredible pleasure to drive rather than racing. I could just hot lap or use it in a track day scenario all day long. So rewarding and I totally love it. Oh and that sound :)

The 918 Cayman wasn't as much fun but when I started to push it, then it came alive. Its still nowhere as much fun as the 911 Carrera S but I can see it growing on me. Didn't sound as good either hehehe

The Moby Dick was actually easier than I thought and I didn't really crash it. I took it to Monza 1966 and its fast but if you slow it down enough then it handled great. I kept killing the gearbox though :)

The RSR is just amazing. I spent so many laps throwing this thing around Zandvoort. It's not as fast or as scary as I thought it was going to be but you need to rag it to get the most from it but then you are risking it biting back. Such a great car. Just hope we get some decent competition for it.

The GT4 was interesting. Initial reaction was it felt great but it then kept understeering and then snapping so it needs some setup work but it felt nice and very much race car. Looking forward to testing this one more.

Overall, awesome pack but I am so looking forward to Pack 2 with the 911 GT3 cars. This is from a non-Porsche fan as well.

This thing seems like a rocket in real life, when taking those stats into account, I don't think I'm that bad that I am 15s slower than the real life driver :p.

Well, I guess you won't understand either, why we did a race on Sunday with 300% tyre wear on the old DTM cars, where the tyres start to let go after 8 laps, either? :D

On ALOOG-6 (where I was driving yesterday), 96% is standard for the Nordschleife.
tbh, it didn't feel like it was a crappy, dusty as hell level track. There was plenty of grip and I mean plenty.

The main reason for the setup is – afaik – to match what it is IRL and there the Nordschleife just does have bad grip, because it is a dusty as hell level track.
If some grip % would match better, I'm sure TDS would be glad to adjust it.

Would be even better if at some point the different parts of the track have different grip level, just like it is in real life (because of the different age of the tarmac portions), but that's asking too much at the moment, I think.

@Berry: ok, if you drove the complete Nordschleife, then ditch that comment about the laptimes. ;)

IMHO your values sounds good to me. That's what I'm running nowadays too. 100-98 is the range I'm working on. 96-97 for a very slippery track.

The 991 Carrera S, 918, and Panamera all have active 4WS. It is also visible from the outside. On low speed they turn contrary to the front wheels. On higher speeds they turn with the front wheels. But that's just the marketing text. Do a lap and look at the replay focusing on the rear wheels. You'll be amazed on how much they move (tiny movements, not big ones) during a turn. They get data from various telemetry channels, latg's, steering inputs, slipratios etc... and they move accordingly to lower or raise the yaw speed rotation of the car.
Replay, F5 camera, turn around with mouse to focus on the rear wheel and have fun

LOL, looks like I have a lot of time to find then. :D

Wait the Carrera is 4WD? Oh That would explain "my" sliding abilities.
