1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Awesome challenge, everyone will be a better driver after these two weeks I'm sure, the F40 is very predictable at least, time to try the yellowbird.

Some big wobbles, but made it all the way round! Very good advice from 365gt to do a lap at 40%, then 80% turbo, it helps enormously. I must have had over 30 attempts yesterday.

With the F40, yes, one time on RSR just under 7:20. With the Yellowbird WR is 7:24 and Ben is a proper alien, like actual alien. So sub 7.20 isn't possible if he's over 4s off it.

    Finally!!!!!!!!!!!
Sector 3 was really sketchy, including a complete stop just before BrĂ¼nnchen. I reckon with the time it took to get the car pointing in the right direction, plus my amazement that the lap wasn't invalidated, I lost 8-10 seconds.

@moodyryder I watched your vid of your laps and I have to say I am amazed at how smooth you can drive these cars. If you compare how the steering wheel is moving in your video and mine, its a pretty dramatic difference. Your wheel hardly moves. Now compare both of our videos to the real thing (second video in post #3 of this thread) and you'll see that my video is a closer representation of reality.

I suspect that you have much less steering angle on your steering wheel settings than I do. I'm at 900 degrees which allows me to seesaw the wheel like a madman without ditching the car. Formula 1 cars have only about 270 degrees, rally cars 540 degrees and street cars 900 degrees, from what I can remember, so adjust your settings if needed depending on the situation.

I could be way off you really are just ExLax smooth with your inputs, but to me it looks like your scared to turn the wheel too much.

My virtual wheel is at 240. I've noticed my unwillingness to turn the wheel myself, but it's just the way I play. I constantly adjust my line with the throttle, rather than simply turning in more. I know it is far from the most efficient way and my times across all the challenges show that. C'est la vie. Smooth is fast but slow is just plain slow.

I changed the virtual wheel to 900. There's definitely a bit more action with the hands. Not much of an improvement but it does mean, at least for me, that the F40 has beaten the RUF. ( by 0.157s :) )

Had time for a few quick laps. I think I love this car nearly as much at the track. Thanks Hugo![IMG]

Quick go with the Ferrari, it drives like a family sedan compared to the yellow bird.

Your steering actions in your new video look way more natural now @moodyryder but still kinda muted compared to mine eh?

The RUF is nut. So skittish, impossible to keep it on the track.
Hats off the V8_KB posting an incredible lap time!
