Alternative launchers official support

Could you please add a way to run acs.exe directly? It would be very, very, very helpful for alternative launchers (like this one).

Of course, I found some tricky ways to run it, but I think it would be much better for a lot of people if there was one proper and official way instead.

As the simplest solution, how about this: if AssettoCorsa.exe founds there is a file names “start-the-game.flag” in Documents/Assetto Corsa folder, it removes that file and starts the game instead of its usual behavior?

 

I agree with this, just about everything is moddable in AC apart from the launcher

 

If it works with still checking Steam and such I suppose there's no issue with adding that in. The launcher is already moddable though, at least the front-end.

definitely we need this
sim so open for modders is cars and tracks producing, so why do not let them make custom launchers with some additional stuff? Mod managers for example are always weclome

Well there is the minor issue where Kunos's launcher doesnt work, the alternatives do

 

and when finally you've got around the launcher, something other happens...
but that's off topic

You should really start a new thread in the app Modding section.
CM is so good that more users should know about it.
