No you do not get penalties. In the real bgt it is a split session say 15min for gt3 and 15 min for gt4. in the game it sort of stimulates it but not quite. You can do all 30min in gt4 if that is what you are driving

You can edit the ids with a text editor in your old config, just have to run the game once to get the new ones to copy-paste them.

The problem in the past is that an open rule set and no BOP leads to massive spending endurance racing can’t support.

 

For me this sounds more like a car cruise than a race.

 

How? They're still driving at the limit of the cars, which aren't that slow, and it's affordable.

Why do you think DTM moved to these cars this year? It was either that or no DTM because it was getting too expensive due to the constant development race.

 

I don't think they'll push to the limit with mclaren F1 which cost millions and with spare parts being rare. It'll be a glorified track day ( a bit like GT2)

 

GT2 is based on the same model as GT3 or GT2, i.e. on a customer-racing model with technical regulations and a BOP.

This "GT1" will only be a regrouping of already existing hypercars that do not follow any regulations. There will be no race, only track-day.

 

These are private Owners of a Senna GTR, FFKX, etc. No way they push their car to the limit and no way, they make risky moves.
DTM moved to GT3 cars, not track toy supercars with highly different concepts.

 

you are so smart you can read ppl's mind . well the same applies also to f1, since there is budget cap.

But for extension, since nobody has infinite money in this reality, it applies to everything in every competition, also professional. Which makes this series nothing special on this topic...

Let's also remember that every team at lemans apart porsche, toyota, alpine and corvette, is a private team. I think they push too, since this year, for instance, a private team won gtepro...
In motoGP there are private teams winning races...Vale won the last 500 Championship on a private Honda.

It's not like being private means not being serious. They will push as hell, as hell as they can.
If you watch a series like Ferrari Challenge, which is the most less professional racing outhere probably, they are destroying their cars every weekend in order to get faster...Also in Italian GT Championship I remember some AMs crashing on each other and having a big smile on their face. They have not the same idea of money you have apparently. And I am not saying they are not crazy, but they go crazy as hell for sure.
Would you spend a few million dollars to have a walk on a youtube channel????

 

I think that situation is a bit different when it comes to pushing to the limits by private owners (or even manufacturer) the McL F1 etc. in comparison to pushing to the limit the GT3 / GTE which is much cheaper and when you smash it to the little pieces, you just buy new one from the manufacturer. But you can’t buy new McL F1. Also you can buy La Ferrari, you can smash it but they don’t sell you the second one directly from the Ferrari.

So I would say that the problem is not in private owners, the problem is in rarity of the cars.
