Generic Forum Topic Lost in Arguments

I am new to this forum and most forums for that matter. I joined because I was excited about getting AC on the PS4 and wanted to keep up to date with any new developments, common issues and maybe even pick up some tips along the way.

I have my options settings to "auto watch" threads of interest so I get an email each time someone responds. At first I thought someone posted an answer to my question or some other nugget of interest only to find more than 80% of the post are two or more members arguing over nothing! I did see that the moderators have stopped some of the threads but it has caused me to stop "watching" threads.

Again - I am new and maybe this is common in forums but it sure feels like a waste of time.

 

New to the forum as well. Seems like arguments in each thread are common. I've partaken in a few because I am tired of seeing discussions of actual issues in the game or discussions on how the game can be improved derailed by negative comments that add nothing to the discussion. Seems there are some people in the forum that think everyone should play the game way they do and if you don't than you need to "git gud" and change how you play the game.

 

Sadly that is how the forums have been recently due to the console release as there is a bit of a parity between the two player bases. Hot and cold wind mixing together creates a storm, same thing happens when you mix two playerbases which are the polar opposite of eachother.

 

The forums have been like this for two years at the very least....

 

Like I stated multiple times, too many PC elitists coming in the console forums because they have access unlike us to their forums, if you took away those 3-4 peoples' posts this place would be a whole different world but sadly, we have to deal with substandard PC players whom think just because of their platform they are better than all console players, I know for a fact I would destroy 95% of PC playerbase based on my own previous experience but do you see me over in the PC forums telling them obvious bugs aren't bugs and it's their lack of comprehension of real world physics and lack of courage that will always make them slower than me and to get good? If they had made it so you had to sign in to this site via an active PS Plus account or Xbox Live gamertag, we wouldn't see them and they wouldn't bother us.
