1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

errr... ok, you're right on both counts there but engines don't do that? or i've not noticed it at least!... i'll have to keep an ear out :)

  5. Haha. It happens in my own car all the time! I'm used to it now! :)

Honestly I decreased max audio output to half and slightly lowered the other volumes to where the stuttering and other strange sounds aren't as noticeable.

i don't blame ya... i've done the same but a lot of the time i ditch the headphones altogether as the problem isn't nearly as noticeable through the tv speakers! but then that's at the expense of the real useful spatial awareness you get through a stereo headset!

I've yet to sim through the TV speakers :)

  9. I've noticed this aswel since the Update. It doesn't appear to happen in dash cam but in cockpit with the wheel in view the audio does stutter a little on the PS4

you're absolutely right... only seems to happen in cockpit with wheel view! but that's the only view you can set the 'field of view' for and that's important depending on screen size and viewing distance (or at least its been important for me) and besides i love the views of the different dashes!
But i have to say as i'm making my way through the different cars i'm noticing the issue varies from really bad to hardly a issue at all... it's probably a certain type of engine sound that causes distortion in its rendering?!
Anyways hope it gets sorted as its clearly fixable and the cockpit with wheel view is arguably the best view all things considered.

    snip...
It would be nice if you guys could take notice of the cars this happening with the most and maybe give a score from 1-10 for the sound.

1... being - not very noticeable, but do with some TLC.
10... being - this really needs to be addressed.

This will really help the Kunos/Dev's track these issues down(if they're not aware of them already) and fix them more quickly. :)

I've tried it in three cars just now.
    Ferrari 599XX
    Mazda RX7
    Mazda MX5
Brands Indy, Imola, and Silverstone National.

Happens on all three tracks in all three cars. What I have noticed is that it's more pronounced when accelerating out of slow corners. Druids at Brands, Luffield at Silverstone, and the tight left hander before the uphill rise at Imola (apologies, the name escapes me!).

It's similar to the sound bug in PCars but nowhere near as bad.

    Hope this helps.

i certainly agree with the above and interestingly the 599xx is the only Ferrari i found to have the problem.

i also agree that it's pronounce when accelerating out of a corner but found it's noticeable on the vast majority of bends with the exception of hairpins.

firstly having checked almost all cars (except drift variants and the prestige pack) it has to be noted that most are NOT effected :)

however the following 29 cars are!

    the worst offenders:
    - Alfa GTA,
    - BMW M235i,
    - Mazda MX5,
    - Merc SLS AMG GT3,
    - Merc AMG GT3,
    - Nissan 370z Nismo.

    the next worst:
    - Abarth 500,
    - Alfa 155 Ti V6,
    - Alfa Mito QV,
    - Ford Escort,
    - Maserati Levante,
    - Merc 190E EV ll,
    - Toyota AE86 Tuned,
    - Toyota Supra MK iv.

    the next:
    - Alfa Giulietta Qv,
    - Audi Sport quattro,
    - BMW M3 E30,
    - BMW M3 GT2
    - Mazda RX-7,
    - Nissan GT-R GT3,
    - Toyota AE86,
    - Toyota MKiv Time Attack.

    the least:
    - BMW 1M,
    - BMW M3 E92,
    - BMW Z4 E89,
    - BMW Z4 GT3,
    - Corvette C7R,
    - Ferrari 599xx,
    - Nissan Skyline.

Many that are least effected still have the problem but due to the pitch its less noticeable.

Also many of the variations of the same model share the characteristics of the base model (unless stated above).

Another Noteworthy observation was that the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG and the SLS AMG GT3 have the same engine sound but only the GT3 has the stutter!!

So basically that's it and its worth mentioning again that MOST ARE NOT EFFECTED!!... in fact some manufactures such as Lamborghini, Lotus, McLaren, Pagani, Ruf and Ferrari (but for the 599xx) have a clean sheet throughout their whole range!!

But still there are 29 that i feel need looking at and hope they get the attention they deserve!... oh and by the way it was a whole lot of fun sorting this lot out...

(for all its faults!) IT'S AMAZING WHAT 505 GAMES AND KUNOS HAVE CRAMMED ONTO A CONSOLE.
