1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

That´s being done for ages. VW Golf GTI Mk1 is the first I know off.

I don´t mind direct amplification, like a intake connection or exhaust flap systems, but I wouldn´t like electronic speakers creating the sound of my car. If for example I drive a diesel car, I know it and wouldn´t like a gasoline V8 sound coming from the engine that doesn´t really tell me what the engine does right now (BMW 6M had this with one diesel afaik, for example).

I think it's kind of stupid, and it's kind of stupid that we require these kind of pacifiers. It's basically a thumb in the mouth for anyone who doesn't like the real world. It's utterly pointless when you think about it, but it's likely that a car company spent a sizeable chunk of money researching, developing and implementing this completely pointless technology. It will probably be one of those facts that slips into obscurity in time and Jay Leno will have to explain the oddity of a few cars faking noise in 60 years time.

I'd love to say I hate it.

There's this Audi SQ5 of my boss I see, hear and drive. It's very silent and boring until you hit the "S" button (ok it's basically the default sound now). Yes, it's just speakers magic, but still 100% authentic and pretty cool.

For my bike I'd love to have an easy switch between "fun" and "silent/responsible" that doesn't involve operating with a hot DB killer.

I don't mind as long as it is the real engine noise being piped in and/or amplified mechanically. Don't really want anything electronic, or through the speakers though.

It's important to be able to hear your engine when you are doing some spirited driving, especially in a manual. First time I drove on track, I was matching revs very poorly. Very sloppy. It was because I was in a quiet V-6 Mustang, wearing a helmet+radio headset, windows down (lots of wind noise). Could barely hear the engine at all. And not so easy to pay close attention to your tach when driving on track.

it is normal .. part of a car .. even on slow cars .. Ford Focus for example has characteristic sounds "created" by Ford in revs over 3000 RPMs on lower gears and it is cool ... sporty, more agressive than it really is .. doesn`t sounds like you are reving it, it sounds like engine is having good times ... love it, eventhough usually you don`t need to go over 2100-2200RMPs when launching or normaly driving I just rev it to rev it now and than :)

You guys mean the current Clio having GT-R and V12 sounds from speakers (infotainment configurable) is not the coolest thing on the planet??? My life is a lie.
