1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Playstation 4 TH8RS steps taken with no success thread

    PlayStation 4 TH8RS steps taken with no success

    Restart PlayStation 4 - no success

    Restart game - no success

    Plugged into right USB port - no success

    Plugged into left USB port - no success

    Updated T500RS to 43 update - no success

    Verified H-pattern on under advanced settings- no success

    Started Project Cars, tested in project cars then to AC - worked once


    Not TH8RS works every time on Project cars.

    When it did work that one time on AC was flawless.

    If anyone has found a solution or can add to these steps that were tried to help pinpoint a solution, it would be great and it might help developers figure out a solution faster

    I use TH8A connect with PS4 USB Port.
    and setting use 'H-Shifter' and close 'Automatic Clutch'.
    It work every time.

    Was having the same problem until I read on a thread to connect TH8A to PS4 , put it in gear and then start the game. Not the most ideal situation but it worked for me and shifter now works every time as long as it is in gear before I start AC.

    Strange. I have the TH8A also, and it always works perfectly, whether it's in gear or not before I start the game. Seems like support is kinda flawed at the moment, as some people's shifters work all the time, and others are required to do things like put in in gear.

    UPDATE:

    Tried all your suggestions and also reinstalled AC with no success. I'll try the game again if they fix the issue. T500rs is now back in storage until then.

    Make sure in the advanced options that the H shifter is set to ON... AND that you drive a car with a shifter (ktm xbow for exemple)... plug your TH8A in USB mode directly on your console or on a usb hub with your wheel. works perfectly well for me.

    Have you checked the version of firmware on your TH8RS?
    Last year Thrustmaster provided a firmware update for it (v26).
    I also have TH8RS & T500 (V.5 hardware) and no probs with PS4 AC/H-shifter.

    This is the link for the Thrustmaster TH8RS support page.

    The firmware is under "Drivers" heading, the drivers and firmware are combined.
    You'll need a PC or Mac/Bootcamp that runs Windows to install it and verify what version you currently have.

    Have you also verified that your T500 firmware is up-to-date?
    Latest firmware version for the T500 is v43.

    I've been having the same issue with my T500 and TH8A, but I think I've cracked it now. These steps seem to work for me:

    Turn on PS4
    Connect T500RS to the left-hand USB and turn on power
    Start Assetto Corsa
    Plug TH8A into other USB port
    Press X on the wheel to start the game

    This procedure has worked every time for the last few tries, hopefully you'll have some joy with it too.
