1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Porsche 911 carrera s on sport auto video - can anybody beat that guy?

I think 918 and Carrera S are the cars that have RWS, maybe that really is the reason cars behave a bit strange.

Carrera S oversteer midcorner, 918 loose rear on braking/turn-in and a bit midcorner.

  2. Could be, can't say for sure tho... But if we listen to reviewers and what not, they all said you dont feel it at all. So considering that here the two cars that handle like *** both happen to have it, well, there you go :D

This doesnt surprise me much. Even I can do that sort of time in 488 gtb on fast track even though it also has tyre model v10 :)

Haha it's even ignored in your post. Anyways, thank you.
I actually read William's posts in this thread ;-)

@william would be interesting to know if you find the R34 bad, too with its RWS.

Speculation: maybe with RWS we really lack the G-Forces in our rigs...like much more so than with non-RWS cars.
In addition - I repeat - we should check what the RWS does when the rear steps out. Any takers? I'd do it but I can't until tomorrow.

  6. We would need telemetry to make an accurate assessment. I'd have to drive it again, but I don't remember the R34 to be that good to drive either.

Like I said, I gotta try it again but I think I remember it feeling a bit underwhelming. But I don't think it felt as weird as the Porsches tho.

  9. R34 is weird in a different way. It doesn't oversteer like 911 Carrera S does but it feels strange because of the RWS. With R34 you sometimes have to unwind your steering input before the apex and that to me is more believeable effect.

I remember it to be weird...not exactly bad. Had to wrap my head around it and trust it. You can floor the throttle at a point where other cars would give you tons of understeer. If I did this with "normal car steering angle" I would send the car sideways...after some laps I sort of got it.

And yes, ideally we should have telemetry but if it turned out that AC's 911 gave you a turn impulse that causes the tailslide it would already be a starting point for further investigation.

No quote right now, sry. But either Stefano or Aris said it regarding 1.9.

I asked Aris about the grip levels and he kind of agreed, though he recommended using slightly more grip than I usually do.

Looking at the suspension app the 911 RWS is always moving like it's trying to correct the car before you do.
    The 918 seemed calmer.
Gotta take a look at the Panamera... that thing is super stable and suppousedly also have it.

Somewhat important to notice about the 918 braking(besides the regen), is that the car on default setup has very little toe at the rear.
