1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

New speedwise-node version is coming this weekend. The new version will allow admins to edit presets from the web ui and is integrated with MinoRating.
Servers that are configured to use MR automatically download and install/upgrade to the latest MR-Version (special thanks to @Minolin for providing the APIs and @Jaye for helpful input).

This is really crazy stuff guys. You'll setup MR with literally one clicks (and two settings in the acServerManager or ini file).

Again: This will be *all* you need:
    upload_2015-10-22_12-32-56.png

    No
    - MR download
    - MR config file
    - MR execution (including an opened window)
    - outdating plugin (restarting a server via speedwise will ensure the latest Minorating plugin)

Hi Henna. I am very pleased to see this. Will this be working with the new servermanager? This manager makes configurating a Assetto server that much easier. Its a pain in the a$$ however to get working for multiple servers. It would help a lot if there could be a manual on how to setup several servers that run simultaniously, using the servermanager tool.

You can use the AssettoCorsaServerManager-Tool to create multiple presets and upload them to your server (the whole presets folder). Every preset is then recognized by speedwise and startable from there. For multiple servers you just have to make sure to not have some colliding TCP/UDP ports configured:

I just checked out the AssettoCorsaServerManager's FTP-functionalities to upload the contents but unfortunately the ServerManager does not upload the "presets"-folder.
Anyways - I will add a new tool to the next speedwise-node to easily start a FTP-Server to upload the base AC-Server via the servermanger so people can use the "Upload Content"-button to at least update the server's executable and contents:

With a standard FTP-client (like https://cyberduck.io/ or https://filezilla-project.org/) you are then also able to upload the "presets"-folder via drag-and-

How are you currently uploading your server config? I tested the manager and the "cfg"-folder was always empty. Is this still done manually?

My server is in my LAN so i dont need a FTP protocol. I made shares :)... If have to invest some time in this i guess. The structure of the server folders have changed a little since 1.3. To prevent cheaters from changing car and track dynamics, These files have to be in the server install. Does your servertool use this also? Do I need to do something special for it?

  8. heNNa

    heNNa Gamer

I just copy the structure delivered by steam - so you should be safe :)

The new speedwise-node version is now available. As mentioned, there is a new program "speedwise-ftp" that can be used to push your ACServer-Base directory via the AssetoCorsaServerManager.exe's ftp section. Note that you still have to upload the presets folder manually. If you started the speedwise-ftp application, you can access your server's base ac server directory with the credentials configured in your speedwise.ini (username: speedwise ; see the image in the posts above).
Windows user can just start the speedwise_ftp.exe, Linux admins the cli tool speedwise-ftp.

As usual the upgrade on linux is pretty easy:
    Code:
    sudo pip install -U speedwise-node
And for Windows, the binary can be found here:
    http://speedwise.de/gameserver_admins/servers

There might be some issues as there were many changes, so let me know if something goes sideways - especially with the new MinoRating integration.

Maybe a problem with the results.

I haven't seen any results for sessions since the 23rd, which was maybe the time the update happened. I haven't seen any for my server and I assume other people have been putting laps in.

The new acServer version makes it impossible to read everything from the acServer's output as the speedwise-node did before (https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/acserver-1-3-4-log-message-correlation.28192/).
So there will be another update taking care of that today. I now have to rely on a mix of the json and the acServer's output because none of both hold the complete informations (a mess ..).
I have the prototype working already and I am testing right now.

I believe there will be another acserver.exe update in the coming days. I have no idea what it fixes.

I noticed a problem with a race league session we had where the results weren't uploaded.

I had a look at the speedwise.log and I see.
    Code:
ERROR: The given path for the results json file (/home/assettocorsa/speedwise_workspace/ACServer_f83424b1-8236-4b2c-b101-5c78f73ded59/results/2015_11_2_11_38_RACE.json) did not exist. Session data will not be complete.

See the attached log file for more details.

The thing is the log files do exist, I had to check the after the race. The machine it was running on was running AC server and a Teamspeak server, over all running at 20% CPU, with low load on disk IO.
The speedwise node and associated server are still running, but will not have any more race session on them so I can recover any other traces required.

Might be a permission problem with the results folder. Are you sure the user running the speedwise-node has enough permissions to access the results folder of the ACServer-Base as well as /home/assettocorsa/speedwise_workspace/ACServer_f83424b1-8236-4b2c-b101-5c78f73ded59/results? Could have been copied with permissions from the base folder.

  17. haagen

I think that is unlikely. The speedwise-node has been running for about 6 days now and there are other sessions which have been recorded ok. I have double checked the permissions on all files in the workspace and the speedwise-node could access them.

One other thing that occurred to me that maybe relevant. In the server config
    ...
    RACE_OVER_TIME=500
    ...

We do this to make sure there is enough time for people to finish and to ensure we can get the race_out.json. This time was the first time I had this set to high when running using speedwise. It is also possible (I can't confirm right now) that all drivers left before the race over time expired.

In either case it is probably reasonable to expect that the RACE_OVER_TIME has got something to do with this problem. Without timestamps on logs it is hard to know the order in which things happened. Is it possible speedwise-node could have attempted to read the file before the ac server had written it? Or asked another way, when does the ac server write the session result?

    What do you think?

@heNNa we have also a high race over time value (360) for the league server, maybe this is really the right direction to look at and the reason why there was no session created for the race. It's the same value like last season, but maybe something changed or it's something together with the booking mode.

Thanks Pete and Jaye - this really helped. I think it is a race condition (acServer does not write the file fast enough). I published a new node version taking this into account.

@heNNa Both values now work properly and 100% linear, I'm proud :)
25/25/50 for one, and 0-1 for the other one. I maybe you get this worked into the second sample with the inner circle?
