1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Statement regarding my RSR laptimes

    Hi simracers,

some of you know my name through the RSR laptime database. Just recently, I was holding over 2850 records to my name (not that I ever cared about any numbers). A few days back my account was blocked by an admin as another member accused my of cheating and also insulted me personally. I was never contacted about the blocking or have ever been contacted in any way by any member, just like last year when I was also accused by another active member.
I wrote to the admins to ask what happend to my account and started to provide proof of my laptimes. A few days later an admin wrote back and checked the provided material and found in fact nothing suspicious (it can be accesed by anyone). So he wanted to unblock my account, but unfortunately he accidentally banned my account and therefore, deleting all my laptimes. And there is no backup of the database, so everything is lost (over three years on RSR).
As stated before, I never drove for numbers. I simply enjoy the game. I want to go out on the track and drive a few laps to push myself and forget about everyday stress.
Even though it can be deemed an accident I am still surprised by the occurences and the way this was handled. More so I am shocked to see such accusations and insults in this community. Anyone can contact me to talk about AC, but if you are just raising false accusations please do not waste my time.
AC is not the newest game anymore so I will not start chasing laptimes like I used to.

That is basically all folks. Keep racing and stay safe out there!

    Best regards
    eXistenZ

  3. I've blown the horn hard in other areas of this Lounge. Huge amounts of effort and excellence has been lost.
This is appalling on a personal level. Sympathy has been doled out by the bucket load but that won't cover it for Good Game.

    However there are wider ramifications:

The effect of this mistake has made the whole RSR Timings website redundant - Now, when you look up or take part in a combi you are not looking at the fastest times, just times that have not been deleted. Is it worth even bothering to look anymore?

I've got a solution, no comfort to eXistenz, but it works.

When looking at an RSR list of times for a combi, just add in @GoodGame.eXistenZ , at the top, in first place. His time, without fail, will be around 1.5 to 2 secs faster.

I've tested it, this approach works for any combi you care look at on RSR!
    :)
