Generic Tuning advice needed

This was a lap i did in the z4 gt3. With a standard setup and low fuel,i was able to get a high 1.49. So perhaps go back to a standard setup and get consistant lap times using that,then start experimenting with tyre pressure's. Adjust one thing at a time and try it for at least 5 laps.

 

Thanks everyone for the advice, I'll sit down tonight and take it all in and try these things out. Some really good comments there and I appreciate the advice. I'll let you know how I get on, I need to find a fraction of a second before the month is out!

Still no luck I'm afraid, cannot seem to beat my previous best although I am consistently a second or less behind it.

I'm now a little more confused and hope you can help?

I spent the weekend experimenting with different combinations of Fuel usage on/off an tyres. With fuel usage off, I set my fuel to 5, 7, 9, 11, and ran each combination with super softs, softs and mediums. I also did the same with fuel usage off. My times...still consistent. I thought for instance heavier fuel loads and mediums would put me right out but it didn't. Is there a valid reason for this or could it be me not being good enough to get the best out of faster tyres? I really thought fuel load would have an effect, what exactly does no fuel usage compare to?

There could well be a rational explanation for this, and it could also be me but I was expecting variances with the experiments and have nagging doubts of confidence with the settings.

Chances are you don't put the faster tyres at the right temperature. If your racing lines are not good, the grip won't make a big difference anyway. Can you capture on video one of your laps and put it here?
