1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

You know strangely it actually works well, that's how we've been playing DriveClub VR, better with the wheel sure but good all the same.

I noticed VR is much smoother then my triples when going around a corner.

Also Pcars is nowhere as clear or detailed as AC. I must have something set wrong in Pcars.

Super sampling AC 2.0 and 1.7 with everything turned down in Pcars.

Same for me, with my DK2, much nicer view in AC than in PCars, more natural, more clear. To be fair I wished we had in AC one aspect I like about VR in PCars, no need to remove the goggle once you launch the game every thing is there, having to remove the goggle in AC and constantly put them back is not convenient

It is nice but with the DK2 it is nice to get it off for a bit.

Over all VR is the best its ever been and I think it has gotten better in just the last week or so and it was pretty good.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my triples VR is working so good. I really like the smooth corners.

For me VR has arrived as a commercial product now. Can't wait to get the CV1.

Users with slower PC's might want to check out the latest news from Oculus.

    Asynchronous Spacewarp.

Oculus is releasing a new technology aimed at reducing system hardware requirements while maintaining content quality across a wider array of hardware. Asynchronous Spacewarp (ASW) is a frame-rate smoothing technique that almost halves the CPU/GPU time required to produce nearly the same output from the same content. Like Asynchronous Timewarp (ATW), ASW is automatic and enabled without any additional effort from developers.

Will that work on DK2 too?

Can't this already be enabled via Windows Registry? https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/56af3t/detailed_stepbystep_guide_to_enabling_asw_through/

I ordered CV1 for testing now. Should arrive next week, excited to see if it's worth the hype and actually better than triples.
Is there any step-by-step "guide for dummies" what .ini files I need to edit and what settings to change from default, to get optimal experience in AC? Should I do that reg edit for ASW? 980ti

ASW will work with DK2 with nvidia only, but remember DK2 only needs 75fps, so it as necessary as for CV1, my average r9 270x GPU works well with DK2 in AC.

Yes, ASW is currently possible via registry hack. Many people say that maintaining 90fps is still preferred if you have the power; I'm using a GTX 980Ti and don't feel I need to use ASW. You may want to turn down a few of the more demanding graphics settings (smoke, mirrors, skid-marks) and edit "Pixel Per Display" (I'm using 1.5) in Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/oculus.ini.

BTW, I'm currently running Win7 but, the testing I've done with Win10 suggests that the Rift-CV1 (especially head-tracking) runs smoother overall .

Im getting some jarring micro stutter after the last few updates, it generally runs smooth for most of the time but then after several minutes a jarring pause. Anyone else with this issue? It only seems to effect AC not experienced it in any other game. Im on the latest nvidia driver.

If you share your PC config, it might give us some clues as to possible causes/solutions.

Are you using CrewChief app? Because it can cause "freezes" if the debug window is open.. Not related to VR, just a thought

No but that's give me an idea to disable any other apps i have.

I would have thought that it'd somewhat lessen the experience, most of the time I feel like it's my arms I'm seeing in front of me, not sure how that would work with my hands in my lap

    Doh, okay - I see.

There have been several issues with USB-connections causing weird problems in VR but, usually black screens, locking or device recognition issues. Still, there are also plenty of third party apps causing issues in some cases - both in VR and with monitors so testing with/without possible program's interference seems a good start. Any intermittent USB connection-loss can really affect fps-drops; I had this happening with my wheel lately and had to secure the USB connection on the wheel button-box with aluminum tape to solve it.

If you are using SC4/SimVibe, there have been some performance issues in other titles where how the game is launched can make a difference. Direct-drive wheel users can also experience fps slow-downs where changing the "FFB Skip Updates" setting can help.

Yep I agree with you, the arms on the wheel really is a good brain scrambling effect and is ultimately better. Oddly though the gamepad still works well and feel immersive, hard to describe but it works, give it a go and see what you think.

Well guys, with the latest oculus update something awesome has happened called ASW .
I launched AC, checked PP to ON, track detail very high, shadows ultra, PP effects to high.
VS 15 AI cars on the grid i was locked at 45FPS due to ATW but the game was smooth as silk !
    Try it.

    Oculus has done it.
