1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

You are most welcome dude. Networks are my bread and butter.

Seems to me you're adressing advanced options - ability to kick people and fine tune stuff & make things better etc (and no doubt it's being worked on)
I think everybody will agree with you.
Nonetheless, I believe MP runs very smooth at this stage (dumb players excepted). And it's all brilliant news.

I find multiplayer quite good as a starting point. done a lot of good races bumber to bumber with peolpe with ping not over 120. Ok , there are some problems, maybe if peolpe from the North Pole with 700 ping dind't try to book would be better:p

I too have to praise the multiplayer experience, Kunos people have done a brilliant job indeed. What makes it truly great though, are the racers. It's been a long time since I last had this clean races. Thanks to all of you!

It seems to me that a users own internet connection and PC are more important than actual ping in AC. For the most part, if somebody has a green ping you can door bang, bump draft, and race within inches of each other 90% or more of the time without the weird explosive lag happening.
If somebody has a yellow ping you can race close with them but their car will look 'off' a bit in the corners but for the most part nothing terrible happens.
Stay away from red pings as much as possible and if they are a red ping with a potato for a pc they will be warping all over the place and will cause mayhem 100% of the time.

I've been hosting lobbies off the same pc that I am playing AC on and even when everybody in my room if from the opposite side of the world they all had a yellow ping at worst and we were able to race together no problems. I ran a race with the guys at Racedepartment early this morning and the experience was completely ruined by two guys with horrid internet.
I'm sure there will be more optimizations and smoothing to be done, Kunos knows that Iracing is the gold standard for netcode and I am willing to bet that matching that level is what they hope to accomplish.

Not every race since Friday has been a positive experience for me, but far more have been solid netcode wise than not.
