PS4 What can be done to stop plebs from ruining someones race and if they do where is the ban/penalty?

helllo people, a few hours ago i was in a race and there was a complete jerk ruining it for everyone, lap after lap he recieves no penalty or ban!! it frustrates the hell out of me. just thought i'd get it of my chest, feel free to give your thoughts on what should happen to them. thanks.

This is the main reason I never got into the online play. Every time I would try and play in a public lobby it was like demolition derby, but then I could never get into a private one because no one knew me. I'm not the greatest driver who lived, and really don't have time to put in the hours of practice and set up to be competitive in a league. I would just like to be able to race every so often and not have to deal with people in the above video.

They should get banned, but how you implement that in a public lobby beats me.

 

It is against the Xbox live code of conduct, so with a report to Microsoft from the player or developer they can be banned from all online play.

I think it is the same on PlayStation.
If not the devs need to make a custom ban list so people can't join servers.

In Forza they give a 2week ban first and then 3 months.

 

Pray to the sim gods that you can set up your own servers in the future.

 

There are major issues that I hope the 'Sim Gods' are fixing for us (Private/Public Lobbies, Penalties, Cutting, ) and when the patch comes it may become easier to remove the unwanted detritus from lobbies. Naming and shaming is not the way to go - been tried on other forums and it always goes bad.... Block and report them (xbox 1) and M/soft will deal with it. This sort of thing is nothing to do with the game/sim it is all about the mental abilities/state, and character of the people who choose to behave this way, we need to fix the people...

The best way to get good racing is League racing - you meet a lot of like minded people - but you need what we're waiting for - Private/Public Lobbies......

 

Could you use LFG (looking for group) on Xb1 to form a group for Assetto Corsa? Then vote to kick anyone who joins - form your own lobby? - or fill a lobby

 

Stopped playing multi-player for this very reason.
On nearly every race I've tried , it's been ruined by these idiots .
The answer for me was simple ....go back to organized events with pcars and just hope they get this game similar to what the PC guys have ,Until then it's shelved .
I may pick it up again for the single player mode , but that's not why I play sim racing games .I play Sims to race real people who make mistakes and opportunities etc .
I watched a video the other day of a PC race and was shocked at what those guys have compared to us " low life" console guys have .
I love the game and hope they get it sorted , but for me now there is only one place I can run decent races with like minded guys ....and that's pcars .

'I may pick it up again for the single player mode.' - I think as this game develops it could become an excellent sim racer for multiplayer - lets see what they come up with... I bet you'll be online racing and enjoying it .... though it may be weeks/months away.

 

What a great topic, online knob heads. Our racing community stoped playing it after 3 nights on release. Every single race knob heads, first corner destruction derby, then the snipers lying in wait. We had 10 to 14 of us in lobby as well, by the time you kicked them, the race is wrecked. Then some more knob heads join.

You can't just blame the knob heads for this, every one who has ever made a racing game, sim or arcade knows this happens, so why release a multiplayer with no system what so ever to help stop it, no private lobbies, no track limits, nothing to stop cars going wrong way, nothing to stop parking up and waiting. Online it's the perfect game for knob heads and wreckers.

If your lucky and find a good lobby, the racing is quality, apart from the frame rate. I hope the patch fixes this issue.

 

I think have a easy solution in public servers...they can make every stoped car or low speed who try block you be like a Ghost... And you can pass without damage you.... And the other solution is the incoming prived servers...but we need to wait for this...also the Kick Vote must be fixed, to remove someone who destroy our experiance we must all vote and many players dont know how...others dont vote, basicly we cant remove this kind of players, without Voice Chat we cant organize the vote to remove some destruction derby players (lower the vote % to kick players)...and please on prived servers the owner of it to be able to kick others without vote...

If yes... Good point im the owner of it but without prived lobbys we aways have a someone who enter in last moments and destroy our experiance...

What are the voting rules anyway? I always see votes to restart or kick but nothing ever happens. Does it need to be a unanimous vote or something?

 

I don't agree with ghosting cars , it takes away the realism .
If someone spins out I prefer to avoid them like in a real race .
Agreed it would stop the bellends, but removes the aspect of reality.
Would be nice to have the choice like in pcars ......although there's many things in pcars that would be nice in AC

Yes league racing is the way to go but as you say you cant really do that without private sessions, and theres no freakin way i'm going to try run a league on the public servers. Lol.

 

It's a real shame as said over and over on similar threads ....it's impossible to race league races or any sort of clean racing here at the moment.
The physics are excellent but unfortunately somehow the most important part of sim racing has been overlooked and that's organized race events and racing clean .
The inability to create a lobby with the track and cars of your choice , qualifying length and race length are obvious very impossible .
Come on guys , I don't mind waiting but you have lost out massively on what should have been the greatest sim racer on console

 

Yes i agree,,but Assetto corsa is still the best/only sim racer on console and its just the start.There has been a few races were iv'e met some clean and respectful drivers on the public servers but they are very rare to come across, so it shows there are good drivers on console but we are being held back do to the private sessions not being implemented,,,,,Yet.
