1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Wait for a steam sale. This game needs a lot doing to it to make it up to par (doesn't even have multiplayer or pit stops) and it might piss you off if you're not that much of a racing sim enthusiast.

    What like 20% off is not a deal? I doubt AC will have pitstops, weather or other options to begin with. Another reason it is a modualr sim, these things can be added later by dev's or modder teams. On another note the G27 is not quiet, it is about the same level of noise as the G25, I have both and the G25 (about 7 years old now) works like it did brand new. They are noisy but not on a scale where you have to SHOUT TO BE HEARD! :p

    P.S. As bigbawmcgraw said take the wheel off of the Misses car but give her the Xbox controller, explaining 'Well you expect me to race high performance cars with that you drive the Granny wagon with it!'. Then run like hell! Women can be nasty when roused. :D

    Just last week £60 bought me a reconditioned, excellent condition Driving Force GT, which has pretty much the same FFB as the G27's, granted there is not clutch, this is something I can add at a later date... Fully recommend making the jump to a wheel, the difference is literally night and day,

    I assume MP will be started with in ten days, sin ce the biggest starting problems with AI now have been ironed out (this is not to say it is tuned for perfection, I only mean the biggest starting problems) . They always said that MP will not come before short of 1.0, when the other major things are done, and by the update pattern so far, they only have two or three dates of update releases left anymore. Regarding the Friday-releases, I think we will see a 0.9 with MP in ten days, then 0.95 maybe with corrections to MP, and then after Easter, at the end of April or in early May, 1.0, depending on whether they take one week off for Easter holiday or not.

    Skybird, you might want to wait till May for v9 and v1 will more than likely be out in June/July. Easter is coming and you can put money on it there will not be an update that week or two. V1 should be out before September, but hey get on track and enjoy the cars, find problems and stop worrying about what and when and care more for the now and WOW! :D

    These things can be added but they are not yet. I waited until it was 33% off the current steam price and still have a racing game with a load of essential stuff currently missing and awful low/stationary speed physics so it wouldn't hurt to wait.

    I can see your point but, I would argue that getting on board now will at least give you a chance to learn the tracks, the car physics (Which is pretty near as dammit perfect @aelc89).

    Getting on board now is, as I see it, the best way to get ahead on the learning curve. Espesially as I am not that great anyway due to lack of time to devote to this at present.

    I have the same things missing, yet would I rather race in AC or the other sim's (GTLegends, GTR/2, P&G, Race07, rF/2,Grid/2, Dirt...)? Anything but AC is futile, they all lack umph and that feel of being connected to a car. IMHO :)

    a message tot he OP. I played forza a lot back in the day with X360 controller, when starting with sim racing and having fun with a wheel, I can really tell you that playing car simulators without a proper wheel, pedals and shifter should be against the law. you get much more involved and its much more fun. But remember, this is only if you really really like car and racing and motorsport in general. This isn't something for the arcade player, racing 3-5 rounds and the race is finished. This is a small, yet massive world. the sim world that is. if you like cars a lot and racing, go for it!

    2/3 km/h speed bug isnt awful. You dont even notice most times and its better than icy racing.

    to the OP:
    Buy it even with gamepad its enjoyable and its doable to run similar fast times (except some aliens driver).
    For sure a wheel is way better.
