By the way, the blurred background could just as well be that, just a blurred background for the text. It could also just be a blurred shot from a dark showroom, just like the 488 screen we've got. Doesn't have to be a hint to anything night/lighting related.

I personally would still love if they announced that they worked on the engine or are going to switch to a new one like UE4 but it's very unlikely and I don't expect anything in that regard. If it's coming it's probably ways off and not just because of the implementation (UE for example is fairly easy to work with) but especially time-consuming testing and development costs involved. To me it's worth working on it but should be reserved for a major new revision of AC for sale and other things take priority over it in this AC.

For the 17th I think we'll see something else getting announced and probably no update or new content released - the next race-focused DLC will come in three weeks probably, as stated before.

Wow...Clearing my cache did it! Strange...considering I just reformatted my SSD & re-installed Windows less than a week ago (downgraded from Win10 to 8.1). I could have sworn I tried clearing my cache before the reformat/reinstall. Maybe I didn't? Gee, I feel so foolish... Well, thank you @Quffy! I can now go about knowing who the "cool kids" are and turn my nose up at those who haven't purchased the JP... (I'm just kidding...)

 

But the brand with stars in their emblem and whose cars are powered by boxer engines is Subaru. So maybe the Impreza (and dirt physic ?)

 

Well, at least part of the streets used in the track layout are cobblestone so a temporary surface has been paved over the entire circuit. It was only put down within the last month or two, so they'd have to do a pretty quick turnaround on the laser scanning to get it to the teams in time to be of any use.

 

Don’t even think about laserscanning a street circuit. That’s why Iracing just released a tech version of Long Beach, there is too much work to do.

 

Anyway, street circuits are crap.

I only watch the race because of the atmosphere, the quality racing and very good coverage, but the track is dull as hell imo...those prototypes would be far more interesting on the Nordschleife.

Nice of them to let us know what time they do... whatever they're going to do. Saves this forum spiralling into madness when nothing is announced at the crack of dawn, which is what would have inevitably happened otherwise.
