1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

New game is up & running.

I like it. Physics are different. It takes some getting used to but it's better.

It's more playable, but still brutally punishes any mistake.

AI now much better. A good challenge and they don't knock you off.

I haven't even touched the free roam bit. Not really interested in that.

Early impressions: It's not a simulation; I still maintain that that's impossible ( yes I'm including GP Bikes)

But it's a better game than TTROTE 1.

Thanks moody. I was waiting for your seal of approval.
Looks like I’m going to have to buy it now.
It does look like a big improvement over the first one.

The onboard and new helmet camera now have forward and backward movement too. Takes a bit of getting used to.

The gameplay itself is a little more forgiving, inexplicable crashes have gone.

Bumps are more pronounced though, especially on Superbikes. Back brake really needed now to keep the front end down.

Front brake very easy to lock. I have turned the sensitivity way down. Brake distances maybe a bit longer.

Quick go with 3rd person. It's actually a good fun game now this way. Hislop classic Rotary Norton. It could do with another gear. I need to do some work with onboard camera play.

It'll be a long term project to work out the nuances.

Seconded, Moody. It's been a few months since I've played the first iteration of the game and I'm a bit rusty. In this new version my first two exploratory laps around the TT circuit were an ugly crash fest, yet by lap 3 I didn't come off until a silly mistake at Ginger Hall. In the first version it probably took dozens (seemingly hundreds) of laps until I was able to accomplish this. Hopefully I'll be able to get up to speed and maybe even, fingers crossed, give you some competition online.

    Random matchmaking lobby.

He's got the Kwak which is quicker than my MD Yamaha. Handling is better on the Yam though.

He gets the lead out to 12s at one point but must have had a couple of offs somewhere.

Over the mountain I can just see him on the mini map. Gap is down to under 3 seconds. He pulls time on me again though.

I can only hope he is too cautious through the technical bits towards the end of the lap.

Turns out he is. It's the closest finish I've had in a full lap race.

Did I win? You'll just have to watch and see.

Oooooooh So close. Well done catching him. Very nice riding moody.

I’m so addicted to this game. I’m on my 6th season in just over a week.
Have you noticed that when you add level 5 parts to the bike it says you’re under the weight restriction.
I’ve tried adding the perk to add weight but it still doesn’t let you use them.

    I don't know. I've only done one season. :)

I usually just play the TT course online.

I'll try it though. Some of the Irish tracks are pretty good. That coast road flat out is spectacular.

Good to see you're enjoying it. I like it too.

  12. How about an unofficial, community leader board?
(I think we can sneak one in here, via a link.)

And how about a weekly challenge...?
    (I love a weekly challenge.)

I propose we go, by sectors, around the IOM TT course, to start.

That's 12 weeks of competitive fun right there!:)

I've done a quick spreadsheet. It will develop over time....

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w6J2mqJxAmh1Adoti1nrmjxyAwp485I7qfR0Yi_PE1w/edit#gid=0

Please feel free to pop your times in, I can edit so don't worry about the order for now.

I need to work out an easy way of an overall ranking. Probably points based.

    So, how about the following?
    ----------------------
    WEEK ONE: 16/04/29 - 23/04/20
    SECTOR 1
    ----------------------------
Lewis and I have already started.... I've put the times in:D

We'll celebrate the fastest every Wednesday.

    What does anyone think?

My sector times generally aren't great to be fair. I only practice full laps. My supersport sector1 time is 1:23.7 from the leaderboard.

So your congratulations are very premature.

This sounds like fun though. I'll try to improve it.

  16. @Laughing Gravy - Yes Supersports
    BUT
let's make it Superbike and Supersport and Classic

Superbike and Supersport and Classic sector times for each week.

Generally - is everybody OK just to pop the times into the spreadsheet?
I'll pop your Supersport time in for you @Lewisxbone and @moodyryder :).
If not, I can, so just it post here, we don't need screen shots, unless lots of other join.

Do record your av speed too.

    No, that was me.
I clicked the link and it said it had to ask for permission by email.

    Anyway
    1.23.061
    131.963mph

420th on the leaderboard. All my sector times are well down. Full lap I'm 154th at 16:58.514 .

Some of those above will be using assists as well. I have it on simulation.

My first attempt with a super bike. They seem a lot easier to use than the previous game.

  20. I've shared the sheet by email (twice to you Lewis;))
    Hope everyone's got.

    I'm putting in a big stint today!

EDIT: I chose the Norton for the Classics, I've managed a 1.27.4

I'm using chase view, automatic transmission and combined brakes at the moment, whilst I try to get the hang of the steering and brakes!
Arcade rather than sim for now, but the aim is helmet cam and no assists. :)
