1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

WFG is also on console games (there is a series using FM6 if I remember correct), and on mobile using Gear.Club.
So I guess for AC it is just not currently on the McLaren PR hype train.

Does this game really not have an overall FFB gain and no possibility to reverse the FFB?

Had a very hard time today to adjust the game to my wheel with the FFB going really really wild.
Ok, it was even worse in R3E, but quite honestly, rFactor2 wasn't far off.

When I finally reached some sensible settings that wouldn't rip my hands off, I still didn't really like the feeling.
Might dig a bit into it to get a better FFB, but my motivation isn't that high, if I'm honest.

Also the graphics. Didn't remember them to be *that* bad. :(

There's a gain setting in garage in every car.
Also use some filtering. I use 9 for the g27.
    The ffb is superb.

Also use dx11 and only studio397 content.
    I suggest Nissan GT1 or bradham bt20.

I think the filtering was 5. I noticed that there is a car-specific gain, but trust me, if you have to lower the FFB in every car to 50% before even leaving the garage, that just sucks.
But the main thing was the absence of the FFB reverse option.
It's not a big deal that you start to drive and then notice that the FFB is reversed, happens with a lot of wheels and sims.
However, if that is possible and if it happens, there has to be an option to change it and I couldn't find it.
That is just an absolute no-go.
Compared to what? AC? no way.
So no, it's not superb from my experience so far. As I said, it might get a bit better when doing some adjustments in the config files (like it was necessary with rFactor1, GTR2 etc.), but out of the box it's horrible.
    No mods installed currently.
I mainly tried that group 5 car that looked a bit like a 917, because I didn't want to change wheel rims. Can't remember the name right now.

Yeah... frankly, it feels pretty synthetic compared, and, if you drive the Honda BTCC, it's totally off, when you accelerate out of corners. Way too much, and too sturdy there. I think it is fair to say that AC's FFB is quite a lot better.

There is a parameter in the controller.json where you can set the overall gain from 10000 to -10000 , but there is no option for that on the UI. Maybe it will be in the new UI, whenever that will be released.

Honda doesn't feel right on throttle but one car shouldn't be definitive of how good or bad FFB is.

There are more details what the tires are doing in RF2 FFB compared to ACs. I prefer better front tire lateral slip feedback and all the details of tire flex. The feedback itself is more responsive and "RAW". AC FFB seems to be more oriented about feeling weight shift instead of subtle details from the tires itself. Probably these are the reasons why I much prefer open wheelers in RF2 (there isn't much of the suspension movement with these cars yet you get a fair amount of details from the tires in RF2).
People who don't like this RAW feedback can tone it down a little with filtering or damping to make it feel more rubbery/less spiky, however you can't reverse ACs FFB from what it is if you wanted.

The open wheelers are generally fantastic in RF2. There is a better selection in AC and they feel very good but RF2 open wheelers just feel that much better. It does seem to be the tire model... it suits the f1 cars and historic tin tops particularly well. AC seems particularly well suited to street legal cars... although AC does most cars well across the board the street cars
    Seem the best regarding feel.

  16. For me the best feeling open wheeler at the moment is Formula Hybrid mod made by Race Sim Studio. Can't find as exciting driving experience from anywhere else.

Said the exact same on RaceDepartment. FFB feels much better than the f138 and physics feel superior also, like AC2.

RF2 really shines with open wheelers. Lots of people like USF2000 but for me the best are Brabham BT20 and Marussia. Those two are the best feeling F1 cars I've tried in any sim.

Interestingly, i feel oversteer much earlier, and better in AC, than i do in rF2. So, it can't be all true really. In general, the FFB fees much more consistent in AC, with the different cars, than it feels in rF2.

I don't think oversteer feeling is related to subtle details (which I was reffering) of what's happening with front tires. It's mostly self aligning torque which is also related to caster, which can often be adjusted.
RF2 FFB center feel (at least on my wheel) is much tighter with most cars. In AC you don't get much feedback if you have low load on tires, center can feel weak/spongy (especially with GYRO off), where as in RF2 you get that initial tight feel even with slightest turn left or right, this feels especially great on open wheelers or light and agile cars. This center force allows to notice even the slightest change in lateral loads and movement, which to me allows to control the car more precisely with less guesswork. Where as in AC sometimes it feels like there a deadzone of the feedback itself (not the hardware), GYRO effect helps but at the same time it tones down the responsiveness of the wheel.
