Hmmm, no sound in rF2 since it updated, all other games are fine. Any ideas? Have gone through all the menus and setup screen, is it buried in some text file somewhere? Have done a Steam integrity check.

At this price you MUST buy it!

 

At $6.50 more than cost of the game for 6 cars and 1 track... that is a very tough sell and awful value =/

At least it's cheaper than the normal price which normally rivals iRacing.

edit: Clearly referring to the dlc here. The game is quite a bargain.

Yep, I was talking about the game.
Formula E is surprisingly fun but not mandatory and the workshop is full of free GT3 mods

 

looks nice but still nothing to do in this game other then hot laps :\
the rain also is more challenging here then in pcars 2.

 

? AI is the best on the market, so why don't you use it?

 

Meh, i dont see the point without any actual career. Are there any full public servers?

I'm liking the lighting update so far but, I haven't tried the new rain effects yet. The way the rain is affected by car speed should be quite nice.

As I understand it from the progress report, (new) Rain physics are not currently implemented or is just in regard to the puddles / depth of water (?)

 

Puddles and wind affect is still wip from what i understand.

Might be some people in this Public server. I've not been online with rF2 as I don't think Public servers are very popular but this may be ok for the short time it is up.

Are you running the DX11 beta? My rf2 updated but the windshield wipers have no affect on the rain drops.

 

AFAIK the DX11 version is the main branch now, the beta is the DX9 version (the last one).

 

ya dx11 is default now, and they listed the cars and tracks that support the new rain effects for now, obviously modders will have to update their mods as well.

 

What are you expecting from electric cars.

 

Visual dry line when raining seems to be gone or I haven't managed to "get" it since the rain updates.
Experienced large FPS decrease with rainy weather.
Still experiencing microstutters related to fullscreen mode (alt-tabing few times seem to "fix" it).
Some content was gone from the selection list in game after update.

Initially was impressed with changelog, however in practice it doesn't seem to reflect itself, thought lightning updates is something RF2 needed.

 

Some of the rain effects are over-done, especially the falling rain; sometimes it look more like heavy snow in super-gravity than rain drops. I haven't checked out other PP effects so perhaps that has some impact but, that example wasn't very convincing. Hopefully, it will be sorted over time but, PC2 weather / rain does give us some idea of what is possible in general and the drying-line works quite effectively there - at least when the lighting is good.
