Merry Christmas!

 

Performance in VR is pretty bad, what a surprise. Anyone willing to share some settings?

 

I see next to no improvements, perhaps graphics looks a bit more crisp ? Any ideas whats up ? I can't get these nice new rain visuals.

Also I don't like how rain is presented. Can I drive in instantly maximum wet track ? Also why if I choose weather to be raining as heavy as possible all the time, it is same light rain for a few minutes anyway....

I also noticed new bugs.

 

Yeah, it’s buggy as hell on my system.
Scripted weather doesn’t work, sometimes no ffb, exit screen turns black after a second so I have to quit through task manager, and so on....
I appreciate the work Studio397 put into it, but I slowly come to believe a start from scratch would have been the better choice...

 

Same here, rain seems like it's the same i see no puddles or rain on windscreen. The rain goes through the car still, i hope they sort that. The graphics look much sharper in VR than b4 & it seems to run better for me.

 

You guys sure that your using the right build or the tracks and cars that were updated to work with the new rain update?

I have bumped all graphic settings to max, seems a bit better but still is slightly flat.

Interesting how physics works. Seems like they depends more on tire load sensitivity, than on speed and tarmac grip. It is like I'm fine I'm fine......... oops I have sqeezed tire slightly too hard, look I'm out of control Perhaps should try higher pressures.

I'm on the latest build everything on max using a car and track from the list
and I still don't see any water on the track

 

Did you delete the content of the 2 folders they mantioned? They requsted to do this before launching the game after the update.

Why it is always so complicated lol

 

I had to remove the DX11 beta from steam rfactor2 betas for it to download the update.

 

Give it time for puddles to build up, I see many puddles after a short while.

 

. . . because we're so spoiled!

 

So it is complicated to unspoil us, or it seems complicated because we are spoiled ?

I still remember times when I was a noob, didn't know a thing about weight transfer, and I used to drive rF1 with reversed FFB for months lol.... now these were the times.

 

Rf2's gt3 package is superb.

I hope those packs sell well. Unfortunately I'm not that rich one who just buys to buy, I hope they will bring some classics, or road cars. But perhaps rF2 isn't that good for those ?

 

Most of the open-wheeler's are quite good in rF2 imo; I like the Skippy , F2000 and the Old F3 / F2 / F1 cars a lot. I hope S397 brings GT4 class and more classic race cars and maybe, some Touring Cars if they can sort out some of the behavior of the FWD in general.

 

I like the Nissan GT4.
And the Civic BTCC, what the issue with rF2 FWD?
But my fav hands down right now is Formula e, that finicky car on Hong Kong street circuit is just so much fun.
Hope S397 sorts out the general bugs soon.
