1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Enabling DLAA in ACC

Discussion in 'ACC Hardware Discussions' started by Luis Branco, Feb 15, 2023.

  1. A side questions about DLAA.

Without dlaa/dlss, 115% resolution and high/epic mix of settings the gpu was mostly about 99% utilized. I had to use vsync in order to limit the fps, cause sometime they go over the monitor (165hz).
Now I am using forced dlaa and I notices that fps always stay a few frames below the monitor, independently of the gpu/cpu utilisations, and I can turn off vsync (and rely only on gsync). And that is nice.

But the not nice thing is that with dlaa sometime fps dip unexpectedly lower - i mean strange ones where the gpu is for example 80% and cpu also low, but fps is 30 frames below my monitor. I also tried with low graphics settings and dlaa and same thing is happening.

    So my questions
    - Do dlaa have some kind of forced gsync or vsync (and overall what is the relation)?
    - Is it heavier on gpu .. i start to think that gpu load, shown in msi afterburner (or hwinfo), feels incorrect or it does not account rtx cores (or whatever they are called)?

p.s. for information the rig is ryzen 5800x3d, 4090, triples 1440p

    Hello,

i have a problem. I can´t get it to work. The weird thing is tested it once a year ago and it worked but i was not satisfied with the results. But since the Realease of the NS i wanted to try it again, because of the performance boost compared to DLDSR 1.78 im currently using with my G9.

I tried every possible way. I tested different DLSS versions. 3.1 - 3.7. I copied all in the right folder and did all steps in the description. The new Tweak tool made it easier, but whatever i do i get nothing in game. I had one pop up which said something with Precision X1 which i use for the EVGA card, maybe that is interfeering ? The Log file seems ok, everything looks like it should. The only thing i did not try so far was to rename the nvngx.dll although this method isn´t recommended with the newer Reg method. I´m lost.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, cheers !

Confirm that you're using the correct DLL, i.e, DLSS files and NOT DLSSG (Frame Generation DLL).
Pick one DLSS from here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/

Adding to above, the use of DLL is just for you to make sure that it's applied, namely enabling DLSS HUD to check that is running.
I believe you can use DLSSG as well, but with those files DLSS HUD doesn't show even if you enable it.
However, even with DLSSG files the log shows DLL is used and DLAA is applied, although DLSS HUD isn't shown.

    Hello,

thanks for your input. I can confirm that i use the right .dlss file. At the moment i use the latest 3.70.
Yesterday i tried again after deleting everything.

Now i get a warning in my log.

Ok, after i changed to dlss 3.1.30 the warning got away. Also the hud shows up after editing the tweaks tool, but the quality is subpar compared to DLDSR 1.78. I will check some stuff.

    cheers

I don't have that warning with 3.7.0. Did you run EnableNvidiaSigOverride.reg from DLSSTweaks?
My dlsstweaks.ini with preset E for 3.7.0, just in case.

    Hi,

    thanks for your .ini. file.

Yes i did. Do you use the newest dlsstweaks Version with the tool?

EDIT: I tried your .ini but same result i also don´t get the E preset. weird.

    cheers

DlssTweaks version is from 28-09-23, there is nothing newer.
I also have the latest NVidia driver if that makes a difference. But boy, E-preset with just Advanced Sharpening looks awesome.
Funny, played yesterday and found this in the log, seems like the same warning like in your case, but it works just fine.

If I’m not mistaken, the log warning is showing with all DLL after 3.5.0 (3.5.10 and above).
But also, just like is presented in the log, it can be an issue mainly with customised quality levels.

And, by the way, when using DLLSG the log doesn’t present any warning and also according to the log, DLSS tweaks.ini are applied and also in game both FPS and image details seem to show that DLAA is applied.

    Thanks guys,

but nothing works for me. I tried every possible way. The only thing that got me great picture quality and fps gain was DLDSR 1.87 and dlsstweaks Qualitylevels "True" / Default. DLAA=false and Preset C. This gives me 25fps boost compared to the normal method. DLSS 3.7.0 also seems to be a smoother image. I don´t understand why. Normally it shouldn´t be any difference.

For the record, you guys choose:

    - default Monitor Res 5120x1440
    - DLAA= true
    - DLSS Quality levels=false
    - DLSS Preset C /E

    The hud shows:

    Preset C/E
    5120x1440 - 5120x1440

If i do that i get a jaggy image. It doenst´t matter which DLLS file. (Warning/no Warning). I also tried the DLLS Frame Generation file, but then ingame DLSS is deactivated and i see no difference.

    Everything weird here.

    cheers
