1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

If like me you have no idea what "9 TFLOPS" or "6.5 TFLOPS" means here's some handy comparisons
    GTX 660 - 2.1 TFLOPS
    GTX 680 - 3.1 TFLOPS
    GTX 760 - 2.3 TFLOPS
    GTX 770 - 3.2 TFLOPS
    GTX 780 - 3.9 TFLOPS
GTX Titan Z - 8.1 TFLOPS (double 780 one card)
    GTX 960 - 2.3 TFLOPS
    GTX 970 - 3.5 TFLOPS
    GTX 980 - 4.6 TFLOPS
    GTX 980 Ti - 5.6 TFLOPS
    GTX Titan X - 6.1 TFLOPS (just a faster 980 Ti)

So that's like, 1/3 to 1/2 the price of current gen cards at the same speed assuming this isn't just "we picked the number that reflected best on the new cards"

I want benchs for Assetto Corsa.

My next GPU must run AC with all settings on max, reflex, shadows, AAs, post-processing effects, everything, 1440p and 144 fps.

Based on the multi faceted angles, I am guessing that this is a stealth card. Good luck finding one ;)

Would be great for a new PC by the end of the year. With either triple or VR. Better start saving.

I have a 970, a great card, but... and I want a 1080 now. But I'll wait for holiday sales at earliest as that makes more sense, need a CPU upgrade too.

I realize that technology will constantly evolve, increased performance with lower power consumption, so on and such.

My point of view is, how the designers of these technologies take into account the consumer. Nvidia knew they were working on this, yet still charge the insane amount of $1000 and upwards for top of the line cards! Full well knowing the fact that these cards were going to be outdated with the new pascal structure.

That tells me, Nvidia doesn't care too much for their customers. In all fairness, Titan owners should have the opportunity to upgrade for free, swap out their cards for the pascal cards. I realize it's a business and money has to be made, however cleaning out the pockets of your customer base tells me that it's not a problem for Nvidia.

I'll wait, done with that company. Let's see what Polaris architecture has to offer.

    Just my opinion. ;)

Edit: I've worked in the telecommunications industry my entire career, as a technician.

Question: If you have broadband plus programming, do you feel that the cost is justified?

IMO, it isn't. Customers wallets are being raided! Providers are charging premium prices, in most situations. Customers have little choice. The same business principals are being applied by Nvidia. Again, my opinion.

HBM2 isnt ready with production and is still ****ing expensive. So yea the big chips getting only HBM2.

Well nothing suprisingly. Same Story, when the 780ti got changed with 980-970.
Same pricing modell and same speedup.

If you want truth power, check 2017 again.

Just bend over and take it like a man. And don't forget to say thank you.
We all want to make a lot of money so we can buy nice things and be comfortable. Companies can charge high prices because you can pay for it.

You guys keep me entertained...and I'm not paying for that fun.:p

Seriously though!.... At the end of the day it's about choice and timing.
The new cards seem to be Nvidia's first in a very long time, set to debut at a decent price.
Whether that remains the case (based on supply/demand) is another story.
I'm never really an early adopter, so I'll be hanging on to my GTX970 for some time to come.
It already runs AC at almost max settings....and very well.
That said...if I were looking or somebody made me the right offer on my existing card, the 1070 would be a good option.

  18. I never consider the top end graphics cards. They are far too expensive. I am more interested in how much a GTX 980 will cost when the new cards become available.

going to be an upgrade for me, the 670 is getting a bit long in the tooth.

need something with a bit of a grunt for 4k and to last at least 3 generations god willing and all that!

My single 780 can't do full settings running my triple 1080p monitors. A 1070 should sort that out and be a reasonably priced card, too. I don't think 5760x1080 will require a 1080 card.
