1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Porsche 918 Spyder - Quick Hybrid modes testing with AI

    Don't have much time to drive yet, so I tested with AI the different Hybrid modes to have some data before diving in. Track chosen is Monza, because Parabolica gives you just a little bit of charge in-between two long straights which helps forcing a situation where the car is left with a drained Hybrid system halfway through the main straight.

    Sport Hybrid :
    • This is the slowest and most conservative mode. Car will lap around 1:49.300-1:49.400
    • The battery will always get close to full or full after most braking zones, where it recharges.
    • After using Race or Hotlap modes, switching back to Sport will allow you, very slowly, refill the battery again in a few laps.
    Race Hybrid :
    • This mode is one second faster than Sport. Car will lap around 1:48.300-1:48.400
    • The battery will slowly be drained in about 7 laps. You still get some charge in the braking zones, but acceleration will be compromised in the long straights.
    • After those 7 laps, lap times increase to 1:48.600-1:48.700.
    • Driving in Race mode with a drained battery is still about 0.8 seconds faster than Sport mode, but performance loss in the straights will be felt.
    Hotlap Mode :
    • Fastest mode. Laps around 1:48.000-1:48.100, about 0.3 seconds faster than Race mode.
    • Battery will drain in about 4 laps.
    • With a drained battery, lap times increase to 1:48.400-1:48.500, which is 0.1 seconds slower than a full battery in Race mode, but still 0.2 seconds faster than than a drained battery in that same mode.

    Here is a graph showing what happens to the Porsche's acceleration on the main straight in different Hybrid modes and and how running out of battery will decrease your top speed.

    Yes, Ctrl+2 allows you to switch Hybrid modes in the Porsche.

    Cars with those type of engines like the 918 or Ferrari F1 use Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, Ctrl+3, and Ctrl+4 to toggle between different parameters.
