1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I'm curious why in some cars such high camber is needed. Is it because of the specific suspension geometry or has it to do with the tire and race lenghts? Do they run much less camber for longruns in endurance races?

Certainly suspension geometry plays a role, as you know, 911s have McPherson strut at the front, and so while turning they lose dynamic camber, so they need as much static as possible...
On the other hand, they have a sophisticated double wishbone at the rear, and still use even more negative static camber at the rear... Certainly the short cup races, permit a setup of "go for it!", without too much wear compromises.
I also believe it is linked to the strength of the axis and hubs... I mean, the 911s run so much negative... simply because they can without breaking.

  4. If they run such high camber in real life, why default setup in AC has camber values around ~3° ?

  5. On iR its around 11L/lap or so at Nords Classic (havent done 24H layout) , maybe 12L for thirsty drivers, going flat out Q lap style. So probably 10L/lap without much problem in an endurance race. An hour is around 9 laps at <7:00 average. So exactly one tank of fuel (90L).

On AC I imagine you could go a good 1h15-1h25min at ~7.5L/lap. So I dont know, Im confused. I doubt they short pit either because that'd be stupid.

Either you're confused with the 911 GT3 R (the actual GT3 car), or you are not looking at the actual numbers at the right panel. The AC default setup stays at -4.40° front and -4° at rear. That's how the car comes from the manufacturer.
Teams push that way up to -5°, -6° and you can do so too in AC.

Always look at the "Car Status" box at the right of the setup sliders, for the real time alignment values.

At least for VLN: Reduced fuel capacity. They put some kind of swimming balls into the fuel tank to reduce to 81 (83?) liters.
This makes around slightly above 8 laps on the 24.358 km Cup layout (a few teams can include the formation lap). From a very heaty discussion I can tell that one team calculates 11l/lap and needs 10.8, while another team couldn't believe that and needed to lose a court. So at least for the VLN 991.1 this makes around 45 - 50 l/100km. Keep in mind they use air restrictors that probably reduce fuel usage as well, so AC suddenly looks very good here - or my math isn't awake yet.

  8. Oh yeah, I was talking about the options in suspension tab, not the real values. Thanks for clarifying.

  9. Fast early Miata track setups run around -3.5 to -4.0, maybe even -4.5 on some tracks. Thats got Double Wishbones.

The N24 doesn't use the short Nordschleife layout.

  11. Numbers are still relevant....

EDIT: Actually the GP layout is very easy on fuel so you can lower the relative a bit, lowering consumption.

Thank you, never thought about the strenghts before.

Now there's gonna be one 911 which is different. The new RSR for GTLM/GTE is very interesting to read about :)

Speaking of that, can you make it show the value how the value would be if it were totally flat? Now its so dependant on how the pits are.

    Kind of annoying indeed.

The real value must be in some file so it must be possible. But yeah, maybe difficult and time consuming from a coding point of view.

Not sure what you mean by 'needed to lose a court'.

Anyway been running the Iracing cup on nords this week (standard nordshliefe 20.8km) and using exactly 11 liters per lap, which is 53l/100, a bit more thirsty than real life but not in the region of 80l/100 as suggested previously. Anyone know how much AC uses in 1 nords lap?

There's no such thing than a "real value" in files. The dynamic value is relevant which is the right side real time setup screen. The suspension arms may have a certain amount of "camber" relation to the car's body but it depends on the load-state you define the suspension with. For example if you define suspension from the car in picture below in it's current state, dropping the car down with wheels attached will load the springs and angles in suspension geometry will change. So basically showing real-time camber and toe angles on a flat-surface would require another physics client running in the background.

  20. Well, iR does it live in a leveled environment (also shows load at each corner, cross weight, etc), not sure what that really implies tho.
