1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Can't really translate this, and it doesn't matter. Just wanted to point out there are actual differences between the teams and drivers, and I can only tell about the 10.8 liters that probably is the lowest value.
The other team was upset that they couldn't drive 8 laps plus formation lap, and accused our team to have more fuel capacity than allowed. But that's where I got some good numbers and insights, both drivers really got in a fight and you could hear every word like a few pits further.

haha, must have been entertaining. Nice you get to see these cars up close in the heat of battle. I got to ride in one as a passenger at Silverstone - mind was blown!

Do you know if the Cup cars have mappings to save fuel or the team can adjust something there? Fuel mixtures and mappings can have a significant effect on consumption.

Yes. Words cannot describe. Had 6 Nordschleife laps so far, never gets old.

No I don't know, but by chance I should have a call with the team today and will ask (if I don't forget).
Edit: One of the differences is that Driver A goes all in to heat up brakes + tyres during the formation lap by throttle-brake-throttle-brake, while our driver does not.

No such option or engine and throttle mappings. That's only on the R

We had roughly 2L per lap on a 80 second lap that had an average speed of 110mph. Ran that track twice in the 2016 season and those numbers were fairly consistent.

If you're running wing on 1 in iRacing you're doing something terribly wrong. From what I've experienced the most used wings at Nordschleife this week have been 5-7. Also the car does have some understeer that you can reduce by driving correctly, in AC understeer seems non existent no matter what you do in the cockpit and it's more noob friendly, doesn't make it more realistic tho. AC's one feels a bit like iRacing's one with little training wheels on which makes it a bit less enjoyable for me, iRacing Porsche I have to drive while in AC it's almost like the car drove itself at times ( a bit exaggerated). However the differences aren't very big so I think both have done good job with the car physics wise.

I'm just a noob because ac is noob friendly. Rfactor 2 is also noob friendly.

Iracing is the only real simulator!!!

yeah, because that's exactly what I meant lol, but the fact that you think wing on 1 is the way to go in iRacing with this car tells me you don't know what you're talking about in this case which makes your comparison between the iR and AC Porsche quite pointless. I think iR, AC and rF2 are all pretty good sims when it comes to the physics base and non modded content, everyone of them has a bit different pros and cons but in general all of them do good job and we can be happy to have all of them.

Should have known better AC forum is full of AC fanboys, others are banned I guess.

  13. This discussion goes atm straight in the direction: How harder it is to drive a car in a simulator the more realistic and better it is.
This opinion has been around for ages, but I have never been able to share it...

I think so too especially with the new GT tire in AC. We're talking on really high quality level of physics in sims and to say what's better is beyond me.

Didn't William post a video of his hotlap on the Schleife earlier, saying he used a wing 1 setting? Well, that lap wasn't exactly slow, wasn't it? Here's the link to his post: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...t3-cup-iracing-vs-ac.42611/page-5#post-831858 Actually, a wing setting of 1 seems unrealistic, but, hey, it's a sim after all. :p

Frankly, adjusting the wing setting in AC on Imola seemed a bit weird.... there wasn't a big difference in top speed from settings 6 to 10, BUT, there was a significant difference in terms of traction out of realtively slow corners, which seemed weird. Typically, wing settings should affect grip in fast corner. Slow corners don't matter (as there won't be an effect of airstream on the wing), and traction won't matter too much either. And, instead, it should affect top speed quite a bit. I'm a bit puzzled here, to be honest. Would like to find out what a good wing setting is for Imola, but i somehow fail to do so. 8-10 seems to be alright. But maybe i'm completely off.

Wing setting of 1 isn't exactly slow if you can handle that loose car but it's far from good setting and slower than higher wing, the difference is even bigger in race than over one lap. I've noticed the same thing in AC and iRacing when using higher wing the top speeds don't change much at all but with higher wing you can have much better cornering speeds and that way also getting faster exits and win a lot of time by that.

  18. broken engine :(

  19. Unless low rear wing is inhibiting you to use the front tires to their maximum potential, cranking on more wing isn't going to change cornering speeds (it may even slow them down), it will just make the car more stable.

Without having seen the Cup in iRacing this may be the difference. Pretty sure I'd tell the same story, I'm faster with higher wings at any time - compared to a setup that Hany would use for a WR lap.
Before you go on you might have a short comparison of your laptime vs. Hany's one. If you're close or better your word has weight without doubt.
