1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    It's quite interesting imho.

    I remember Stefano saying once, that he doesn't want to expand Kunos and get new programmers, because it would require more management. And he wants to be doer, not manager of other people's jobs. Hopefully he still gonna be the doer (since the guy is obviously super talented/mastermind of whole project). But now they are recruiting... 3 vacancies. Why interest/knowledge in motorsports is important, unless something more related to motorsports is coming?

    If it was just for remaining DLCs and finish the AC1 development, would it make sense to expand? Maybe it would (console team been struggling) but.............. AC2 :D

    Job descriptions always start like that, it's normal. You describe what you wish to have.

    If they find someone who is a very good c++ programmer and who can work independently, does have experience in the topic and is willing to learn Italian, I'm sure they'd still consider hiring that person. ;)
    In the end, I think that the character of the applicant and the skills are far more important in this case than the language. Could be wrong, though. ;)
    btw, did Aris speak Italian when he started to work for Kunos?

    Oh and Stefano said himself in the stream that being able to work (mostly) independently is very important to him when looking for new people.

    I have some language issues, more so with the c++ then the Italian as I could use google to translate Italian. The other language is a bit more critical I suspect and google translate doesn't work good from basic english to c++ :D

    I have worked with c++ code and to some degree it's just another programming language.
    If you understand the basic principle of computer languages (which is more a thing of understanding logics), then you can learn additional ones relatively fast.
    It's a bit like learning a human language. Once you figured out the grammar (=syntax for programming languages), the rest is just learning more and more words which with practice isn't a big issue.
    (Obviously practice is the key here, really.)

    In detail, it is of course a bit more complicated as there are corner cases, exceptions, must-not-do stuff etc.
    But then, that's the case for human languages as well. ;)
