1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Could be worse, it could be Haskell. Still dont know why my college thought Haskell and Pascal would be a good starting language in 2014. Haskell gave me nightmares and nearly put me off coding altogether until I started learning C# on the side. Really do need to learn C++ though. Oh and thanks for recommending Netbeans that one time, Eclipse was so annoying for me at least.

    No, really no. You're too late for Kunos application, so there's no reason to waste 10+ years of your life when you can do 99.3% of the stuff in C# in exactly the same way and performance, just without killing yourself*.
    Btw. most of the projects are done in the same time that you need to properly setup a C++ project. Hides & runs

    *edit: In a second thought I realize that IF you want to kill yourself with C# - the tools are there, no worries. Yes, looking at you, random ORM

    What u did not like about Eclipse? I know it has his days. Some fellow developers are switching to InteliJ and they like it. I still am on Eclipse, there so many plugins for that platform.

    Eclipse came hit the market when Visual Studio 2005 was the IDE. Honestly? They **** up a simple thing like the default hotkeys. We never got friends above that. How can you add a new IDE, hoping to convert a few C++ programmers and then bring something that uses F11 for "debug"? Imagine you debug for minutes, finally find something interesting and use Step-In (F11 in VS).

    I used Eclipse in my java time and it was amazing once you reconfigured the keys, but I knew Java would die in the moment Eclipse broke because somebody thought it's a good idea to insert their names into the core java namespaces; just because they bought Sun.

    Sorry for the topic displacement, I'm out again :)

    My main thought more sellable skills guess ill try some newer languages, only have C# and Java might not be that good, might try Go again as that was pretty cool.
