1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

@Aristotelis can you share anything about those racing line ideas or they are as usual confidential ?

So we can't fully simulate British weather for silverstone yet. :p

Sorry I meant to say rubbering of he track not racing line. You said you were having some ideas regarding rubbering on the track ? Would you be able to expand on that ?

ah not yet, I'll talk when I have the certainty that can be implemented. otherwise it's just wishful thinking

I understand. Was just curious as to what aspect of rubbering in you were referring to.

One thing I will say is that for online racing I think the weather conditions transition between sessions needs to be very clear, because what tended to happen in previous sims which had rain etc, is that you qualify in the dry and then when the session changed to race and it was wet, straight away you got 2-3 people leave the server, then you would start the session and T1, massive accident, partly because people didn’t realise the conditions had changed between qualifying and the race.

AC had this same problem (partly) because of track temperature. The quali session could be 20C and then the race it could be 8C, however the change in climatic conditions was never well indicted so as soon as players started the race and begin braking for T1 they realise they had no brakes and an almighty pile up ensued, caused partly because the session change conditions wasn’t made clear.

So I think when a session changes there needs to be some kind of menu or a ping or a bong or a widget to indicate that the weather has changed too.

Ye the almighty thermometer would suffice for me ... Or at least have the driver pull their phone and Google the weather ... Very high tech machinery

¿It's is posible to add deepness to puddles in future updates?

  11. Temperatures sure make the difference in a lot of scenarios but......

If drivers don't know the temperature and you are pointing out that it's the main reason of having massive wrecks, well sounds like a scapegoat to me.

It's one of the consequences of being data dipendent. When you put first the data and then the feedbacks into your driving style don't blame the data

What data are we talking about. I'm pretty sure I can feel it without any technology when it's 5C or 45C outside. Pretty sure racing drivers can also feel it without any sophisticated devices. So I know when my nut is freezing that my brakes and tyres will also be freezing. Easy as. Don't confuse simple empirical observations with heavy data usage and the need to have 7.583772C on screen. I think I am fast enough to know where and what causes certain uncertainties. One thing is going back to basics as Aris and the rest have said, another thing is absolutely disconnecting and robbing the player of something that would be quite obvious if he would be there on track himself.

  13. Totally understable vision, I also agree.

But still if there is something you don't know, like the temperature, you start as fast as usual and the adapt or the other way around?

P.S. if you load a preset setup you can already tell if it's hot or cold by reading the pressures

The ambient and track temp is of course coming, people are working on it as we speak.
A good "forecast" screen would also be handy, let's see what the future brings

AC1 had wind implemented at later dev. stage. I think we will have it coming sooner or later. Dynamic wind would be very awesome as one more variable. Also it is very often that before rain there is a sudden wind increase and direction change. Is it coming? Dynamic weather implementation has no boundaries and perfection. 0.7 ACC has already set the bar high and I believe we will see improvements in it even after release. P.S. Huge hugs and thanks to all team members. What you guys do is just spectacular. To put in code the amount of variables that you do the way you do is absolutely unheard of in auto simulation. Outstanding team doing outstanding job.

The wind is already in the code. We need to "connect" it to the rest of it dynamically instead of having it as a "style exercise" as in AC1.
    Will be there soon.

Just curious... Is is possible to have falling rain on just on some part of the track (yet, or will be implemented later)?
And from then on again random, or it stops raining, or starts to fall even more on other parts and lastly all around.
In many real life situations happens just that, which puts lots of confusion factor into racing :)

Saw Aris responded to this exact question yesterday. No, but never say never seemed to be the jist of the response.

EDIT: It was actually in this thread. You don't read before asking the same question as someone else?

There is a reply to this a few posts back. It's not there at the moment but it's not completely off the table either. It did sound like it may come after full release if it does come.
