READ HERE About 1.0 multiplayer structure

How many times does Kunos need to repeat that development will not end after 1.0?

 

I'm not saying they will stop after launch, at all. I know this game will get supported for a while, but that doesn't change what I wrote in my post.

Also, it would be much appreciated if you'd just say what it is you want to say instead of asking rhetorical questions. Thanks!

 

What I wish is that people would stop being so negative. Just that. Lets wait and see. And lets give Kunos a break, at least until we see how things develop. There was good constructive criticism in this thread and Kunos have taken note of it.

I too think we need structured racing, one way or another inspired and encouraged by Kunos. I have a few ideas but I think there are loads more already.
<edit>But on the plus side</edit> I can see leagues popping up everywhere.

I've seen videos by Marco, the "passionate" posts by Stefano and the polite and restrained posts by Minolin (amongst others)

I never get that feeling from iRacing. I raced IMSA last night because I bought the car I might as well drive it. I then picked up ACC and I raced till I fell asleep in the chair (don't tell my son!)
I too had my moment of doubt; I too got a little bit apprehensive. But this is the real deal. Look at AC1. To me this can be AC2, AC and three quarters. Whatever. It is like their baby. These people care.

I pretty much completely agree with what @Oblit0r said. I don't regret the small amount of money I've spent on ACC for one moment. It's a fantastic sim. I have the greatest respect for Kunos and I am a supporter and fanboy. But the multi-player is lacking and IMHO, needs to be fixed. From what we've heard it is not Kunos's intention to offer structured, scheduled racing as yet which many of us agree is a mistake and a missed opportunity.

This isn't whingeing or moaning, it's respectful community feedback during an Early Access period. Exactly as was intended.

 

Well put. I am a bit annoyed about being misled for so long about what was going to be included but other than that I agree completely with you. A wasted opportunity to make the perfect GT3 sim.

Everything else is in place. We just need structured multiplayer.

 

.. I'd add that I also have faith in Kunos. I do think they're reading this thread, I do think they're listening and I genuinely think they will address it. I'll patiently wait for more communication from the devs soon...

 

Damn... I can not believe or understand this.

Imagine a sidebar on the multiplayer server list, a sidebar with squary pretty buttons with the image of a track, a countdown in 3 hours where you can join. You join and a local server with you alone starts, you do laps and get posted in a rank on backend, with a count of racing drivers joined where you can see it. When countdown ends, servers got created based on splitting joined people in servers, then you appear in a server with 20 guys, and race starts. Huge penalty if you left.


Are you Telling me that you need to pay 100€ and a monthly subscription for getting this? Really? Fanboyism is the cancer of discussions
This would be a "calm your **** and race", but instead I see that there will be a button that can join you in a server where you better fit (something you may probably do by eye in two minutes), but mega hyped.

Dream:
Scheduled race every 2 hours at favorite track, you book for a race and get matched with players of similar performance
And/or:
Scheduled season race at track that changes every week, when season is over you get a final result in your division. Division depends on your performance at the begining of the season.

Reality:
Open server browser, spend a lot of time finding a server at Monza that is not completely full or completely empty by scrolling through many many empty servers and servers with other tracks.
Then driving 20 minutes race, were half of the drivers leaves track and new drivers appear each minute.

Everything is there, but not used by Kunos. Missed Oportunity to separate from any other racing sim without any MP concept. PCars2, RRRE, rF2, AMS, AC and now ACC with same missing concept.

Why 7 different ratings and no real usage if it?

^ people like you are why games don't progress much nowadays, you defend stuff like this as if you've been personally insulted where quite clearly no progress has been made at all regarding multiplayer to any other generic racing game over the last 15 years,

 

Good post and echoes my thoughts. I have just now 'rage subscribed' to Iracing for a month, which might end up being longer, and who knows, despite ACC's miles superior physics, it could well become 'just another sim' in my library I occasionally dust off cos offline racing can only hold my attention for so long...

 

haha good on ya mate... Do not presume to know me with your silly little labels. This game will develop as far as Kunos wants to develop it or can develop it by constraints out of their hands and nothing I, you or the whinging brigade will have any influence that.. To say there has been no progress over the last 15 years is comical and an insult to any hard working developer.
