1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

The 812 does not like that much camber. Try -1.6 to -2 at the front and at the back more conservative e.g. -1.4 or so.

@F1415182235 , thank you for the setup, used the all the way negative camber. Tomorrow I'll try the "intermediate" camber.[IMG]

Well it took me quite a bit of effort to get down to this time. There's not much to adjust setup wise but I tried almost every combo of camber and toe. Nothing I did really had much of an effect on my laptimes. I could have 0 camber and toe vs full camber and toe and the difference in my laptimes was merely tenths of a second. Actually nailing the correct braking points, hitting apexes and not spinning the wheels at all, had more of an effect on my laptimes. When it was all said and done, Goodgame was correct about the camber settings - I was fastest with his settings but like I said the difference was a couple of tenths.

Finally dialed in a setup that felt alright. I need to take a step back and analyze.

Definitely having trouble being consistent for Turn 1-4.

Turn 7 is hard for me too, I think I'm either accelerating too much out of Turn 6 or not braking enough for Turn 7. I feel like it's a turn I should control my exit out of Turn 6 and try to finesse it into Turn 7 to get on the accelerator as early as possible.

Also need to work on braking a little later for the chicane.

I found it easier to take all the corners in 3rd gear except for turns 1, 3, and 4 which I take in 2nd. Also, I find it easier to short shift into third gear in those second gear corners rather than trying to modulate the throttle to minimize wheel spin.

I think if you try to take the corners in third gear you might be able to get on the throttle earlier.

I managed to save a few of my quickish laps but not my fastest one. For some reason when I do the screen capture recording it randomly shows me a red screen upon playback of the recording. So my fastest lap isn't watchable. Not sure why that has started happening. I looked to for the autosave replay in ac but I couldn't find it...

Anyways, here's a lap where I made a few mistakes, which you should be able to spot quite easily. I am posting it though to show my lines and gearing for the corners.

At the end of the vid I post the camber and toe settings I used for the lap. As you can see they are totally different then what I posted for my fastest lap. Yet the diff in laptimes is only a few tenths, and I would say those few tenths were due to mistakes and not the setup...

In this vid, I post the exact same time (1.31.4xx) without as many mistakes... But between the ghost, and my time delta on the screen you can see how much time I gain or loose in each corner, which really helps to narrow down where the mistakes are happening. I don't what my setup was for this lap though.

  13. I meant to do one of these skid vids, as requested by our rubber hating host @Pretend racer , in the BMW drift challenge.
So, better late than never with a sideways superfast instead.

Here's my best effort for approval, in the arena, at 2x slow mo.
At full speed it looks like a fluke.:D;)

  14. Comparing vids, it looks like PC has a slightly different track.
No grass in the arena and no penalty, on PC, for hooking the inside wheel over the kerb in the tight left hander.
    Unfair!!:D:p:D

Sweet drifting TW! Very stylish hahah.

I have a lot of the vid settings turned down in order to give me 90fps in my Rift. Maybe that's why there is no grass? I never noticed that before lol.

Two wheels inside the white line is ok. If you put 3 or 4 wheels inside the white line the lap will be invalidated. I did just try it out right now and I can show you a replay if you want. I think you might not be as accurate as you think when you are close to the line :(;):)

That comment is more accurate than you think.

However, I defy anyone on a PS4 to beat my 1.33.0!!:)

The new update removes nearly all of the judder (but only in Game mode,) but the pic quality has dropped even further.:p
However, it is now far more playable.
More importantly they've done something to the feedback. It's gone Tonto!
Once dialled back a bit, that squidgy, underinflated tyre feeling has gone. It feel miles better.
I've just done 10 laps with safe set-up and gone 5 secs faster with no effort.
    :)
A few more of these and ACC could be great.

Same setup, PB is only 41.1, but my first lap was a 41.5.
My CN rating jacked up from 76 to 93, so that's pretty neat.
