1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

You won't get another modern GT racecar (GT3 or GT2) for a good few weeks, also trying to be premium DLC free for a while yet as well...

Cobra, Lotus 25 & GT40 are all great fun at Silv 67. The Lotus 72D raced there as well.

+1 for Silverstone National, my favourite of all the modern Silverstone layouts.

Says the guy with the Cobra avatar! Lol (or is it Viper?)

I'd like to add though, in my opinion if we run the Cobra one of the specs must be "0% stability control" along with factory TC and ABS (gonna have to use the honor system on that though, and take everyone's word for it).. Because I don't believe they had any sort of stability control, to my knowledge.

Is it just me, or should stability control, traction control and possibly even ABS, all be settings you can adjust on the fly.

Right now assists done on an honour system, it is requested to run factory settings for ABS and TCS.

The only way to actually enforce this stuff is to ask for a video of the lap recorded in Real time with the HUD open, that will probably reduce numbers dramatically.

Stability isn't mentioned anywhere within the OP rules post, again it can't really be enforced in a simple manner, it should be in the rule set as off, IMO. It is a very artificial thing from what I understand.

I will update the rules with that next time out, I think if you choose to abuse them you are only cheating yourself anyway!

I have made a post in the console suggestions forum to ask if information regarding assists and tyres could be added to the session screen as it would add the ability to enforce the rule set, it of course has no real application outside of TT competitions within the community, so very low priority, but if you don't ask you don't get...I should ask for the full track name to be on the screen as well ;)

The ingame stability control is not the kind of stability control you would find in a modern car. The stability control in Assetto Corsa directly influences the physics engine, that's why there is no factory setting for it.

Hello graveltrap I'm ok with enforcing rules, got the video already, pretty sure that abs on or stability control will not improve at least the fastest scores anyway. Another way is to show in the video of the best lap an exit from the session and a straight back in, to show the preset.
If it's just about honour I declare I run tc control and abs on factory no aids, cockpit view, no racing line and full degree of rotation as the real counterpart of the car. Even now that is setted and bugged to 540° I make the turnaround of unplugging and restarting to have the full and real rotation on wheel. Also I run strong force feedback until even lowering it too much is for me a kind of cheating, same to move the conical brake mode AFTER autocalibration of brakes, is definitely cheating, and I'll never do it.

Of corse Cobra @ anywhere is a great combo, but really classic Silverstone is one of the better ones. ;)

Like already said stability control in AC is not the same as in reality and there's no factory setting for it.

Can't speak for consoles but at least on PC you can change ABS and TC on the fly if you got them on factory. If a car has (one of) them of course.

just an FYI, I hit the peak of 4th gear down one or two of the straights at Silverstone Historic... and I don't believe you can adjust the gear ratio in that thing (I may be wrong). But that could potentially be a factor if the engines can be damaged in this game? Does anybody know if and how engine damage works in this game?

But, otherwise, agree'd.. Cobra anywhere is just fantastic! I would even suggest a Nordschliefe WHC, in the Cobra.. talk about field gaps! (when and if you even put down a legit lap, I have yet to) Lol

Definitely! I'm at the rear of the pack.. I'm not about to cheat to get ahead. I think most of the guys interested in these WHC's are probably the same. We're here for the competition, NOT to win unfairly.

I'd like to also add, I find I can get better times with some cars Stability set to 0%

Cobra has adjustable final drive. It's ther most enjoyable car i've tried at Silv 67. Had some fun online there in that car...

poor quality video but 3 wide was fun!
