1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    The Challenge.

    Car: BMW Z4 GT3
    Track: Barcelona GP

    The lastest challenge in the history of the WHL, sorry for taking so long folks! :oops: Also, the title is not very good: google translator tells me this means "Competizione" in german. Can anyone confirm? :p

    With all the hype surronding Kuno's new sim, i thought it would be nice to have a GT3 car this week, to do the usual comparisons and to remeber people that the original Assetto still has a lot to offer. And what better GT3 to chosse than the Z4? Very light and powerfull, with a very angry sound, this gentlman (it's almost 6 years old by now, not a boy anymore!) bears many sucessfull titles, the most important one being the 24h Spa in 2015 after a hard battle with a Audi R8 and a 459 Italia.

    So, join the hype about GT3 and let's see how well you can do with the Z4!

    I don't know if Barcelona is a current track in GT3 or Blancpain series, but it's a very good track for this type of cars. Different type of corners that can have multiple approaches (specially turn 1), this spanish track always felt very good to me on GT3 vehicles, hope you have fun here aswell :)


    The Rules.
    Hotlap
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

    5 lap stint

    Mode:Custom championship (or quick race if the total time is displayed there)
    1-Set up a championship with a 5 lap race at Imola
    2-Choose a single opponent,preferably a car that is much slower,so you don't have to deal with it.
    3-After the race,go to "session" menu,and you will see the best laptime.Wait a couple of seconds,the total time should appear.Screenshot it and it's done!
    It goes without saying that everything else is the same as the Hotlap mode.

    If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.


    Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    SMonday September 24th 2018 - 22:00 GMT.

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap or Custom Championship and choose the BMW Z4 GT3 and head to Barcelona GP. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.Also,to avoid mistakes on laptimes,please enter them with the format x.xx.xxx. This format makes it easier to work with Excell.
    A leader board will be collated from time to time, this will keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

    Feel free to use the unofficial leaderboard but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

    I don't know if you guys saw it on the description, but in this challenge we will do the same as we did in the #73, a normal hotlap and a 5 lap stint for consistency, you can participate in both or choose one,as you wish :)


    I just saw @Totall Wrytoff post suggesting the 458 at Highlands Drift, i didn't want to set the next challenge so earlier but if you guys want that can be the next challenge!

    Quick go today, and I bested my previous best time according to RSR so I’m happy with that.

    My German is not what it used to be back in the schooldays. I think Wettbewerb is ok, but also Wettkampf can be used in a competition as in sports.

    Hopefully I get some time today or tomorrow to submit a time. This Thursday we're flying to Sardinia to take a week of relaxing after summer holiday. A new job is great but these old brains struggle with the absorption of all the new info, colleagues, culture etc etc. So a week off is very welcome.

    Nice to do the five lap time trial again. It works in quick race, no need to put it into custom championship. Once you finish, go straight to the session screen. At that point it will only show best lap time. When the other car crosses the line, the total time will then be displayed. Don't leave this screen before you get the screenshot. If you leave and then go back In, it will only be showing the best laptime again.

    I did a 1:49.2 during the race, 7/10ths up on my hotlap time and felt like Lewis did after quali on Saturday! Enjoying this combo a lot more than expected.

    That quali lap front Lewis was just awesome. The on board footage is just crazy:eek:.I wanted Seb to win but now i think Lewis will take his 5th championship he just seems to be on another planet.

    Last week we had a chat with Hugo, I offered a little help to him, making the classification of the Challenges. Of course he stays the organizer and he will declare the final standing too, I'm just preparing the numbers for him. I really appreciate his work and I hope I can make his life a little bit easier :)
