1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    I was just about to change the penalty stuff after the conv with Marty... it looks like you have switched to wheels out = 2 but not set RACE_GAS_PENALTY_DISABLED=1 yet

    Thanks for sorting that 1 out V8 :) It's great we can have qualifying invalid lap active. I would join but I was home pretty late and still waiting for dinner to cook.

    Without much spam i want to dip in the waters again, coz i had to take 1 year brake. How the league is going, are there any scheduled races every week or people just gather in open servers?

    To bring you up to speed with ALOOG...

    AFAIK there are no ALOOG leagues in progress at the moment.

    This server (ALOOG1) has a very small community of regulars who join most days. The content changes almost daily.

    ALOOG 0 is still fixed GT2 @ Spa AFAIK.

    I only join ALOOG1 so im not too clued up but the servers 2-5 do have content change but im not sure what frequency. I think the main ALOOG guys use them and communicate via teamspeak.

    ALOOG 6 runs a Nordschleife event each Sunday late evening (there is a thread here in chat for that)

    But iirc, all ALOOG servers are on one dedicated server. As long as that is alive, it doesn't really matter if it runs 2 servers or 6 servers.

    I presume you change the RESTRICTOR= value in the entry list...

    So does that mean we can have different restrictor settings per slot rather than per car type ?

    Thanks, I exported and checked a cfg but not an entry list. I had checked the help tab in the acservermanager.exe and saw nothing on the entry list bit there. That answers it. Thanks mate :)

    Ok... to add to that. Does anyone know if there is a dev app that shows power? and if so, is it at the crank or the wheels... and is the power stated at the UI info screen at the crank or the wheels for that matter? :p

    The power stated in the UI screen is (usually) BHP, which is power at the crank. It has no actual bearing on the physics and may or may not be accurate. The physics engine only ever sees power at the wheels (WHP) and there's no value anywhere that it uses to determine BHP.

    There is no dev app which shows the power, but you can use Content Manager to generate a graph purely from the physics files which should give you a pretty good idea what's in there.

    Thanks for the reply. I was hoping for a way to test what different % air restrictor actually does. Will be a real struggle to use it without actually knowing how the power output has changed. Well atleast it will when I have an idea what BHP I would like to limit the car to.

    Take it to the drag strip, open the Driver Performances app and check the 0-100kph and 0-400m times?

    I think air restrictor can only be used in championship and MP at the moment. It sounds like it will come to quick race/race weekend eventually.

    The 911 Carrera RSR for example, I think I need to restrict it to about 260-270bhp atleast with stock weight to get close to the Escort so it would be handy to be able to run 100% restrictor and check what the power output is.

    I will just have to do it the old fashioned way and compare lap times. Hopefully I will build up an idea over time how much I might need to use in a given situation :)

    UI info numbers at the crank then. Makes sense thinking of some of the road cars. I dont think it will help to determine BHP change with a given restrictor percentage though. It will ultimately boil down to a lap time test anyway so its not a big thing but being able to check power after restrictor % would help initially to get fairly close to the mark.
