I'm tryin to figure this out from SRO's pov. They are invested in a great promotional tool and in real life tap into markets with huge potential. US and Asia. Why not go all the way?

 

What do u mean? Next track release will have US, S Africa, Japan and Australian tracks

 

There is only so much they can do track wise in 12 months or so and making 4 tracks in 4 seperate continents seems a better way to tap into more markets, then a DLC from just one region.

It is the Intercontinental GT cup DLC after all.

 

This guy is really good. Been following him for a while. He also speaks highly of ACC's accuracy in this video.

 

I thought Kunos' Marco Massarutto said it was them paying that licencing bill, not SRO investing in ACC. So if Kunos wants to implement anything they'll have to license everything. Besides, it takes time to create this content. Kunos being a very small team and all. SRO seem to have been quite accommodating, though I'd like to see more cross-promotion between series and sim beyond track advertisements.

 

So today I tried to participate in some races online. Strangly I found 2 servers with over 20 people in it (full most of the time) and about 6 half full with a max player number of 10. That was it. No matter what I changed on my filter options. Am I doing something wrong or are there really only a handfull people playing atm?

Sometimes it makes me really angry to notice that Kunos is paying all the bills, sacrifices everything and taking the whole risk of cause while SRO as well as all the Sponsors and Brands within which are being promoted at its best by ACC seem only to take but not to give anything. Of cause I don’t know any background informations in detail but simply the fact that we have to beg for every little bit of additional contend and Kunos obviously has to stretch at max to get decent licenses for that it is a shame comparing that to all the goodies the sponsors get while we use that sim full of official sponsors. Props to you Kunos, keep on struggling!!!

bloody finally! When I first got ACC I was seeing a couple of drivers doing 54's around Nurburgring. I was absolutely nowhere near that however I said to myself I want to do those times and for the first time this morning I manged to do it in a 20 min race on a fast track in the Audi.. I must have been in the zone because it felt fairly easy and everything slowed down more than usual.. Unless that was my extra laggy screen. I know some drivers are doing 53's in qualy and presumably the race. I mainly see this in the Lambo. How the hell do I find another second or so... Challenge accepted!

please don't tell me drivers are doing 52's. very nice if they are..

Thanks mate.. No chance, hopefully in 6-12 months.. I'm trying to also crack the 28's at Zolder. I saw Barra do a flat 28 without breaking a sweat which was sweet as. I can only manage a flat 29 and consistent low 29's in the Audi as I made a nice step in the setup compared to last weeks race. I'm going to try another car there because the Audi hates the 1st chicane. I might try the Merc and see if I get myself in the 28's.. Even then how the hell do I find another second or so.. Very cool what some of you guys can do..

 

You are back on a wheel again though, I know some guys are reasonably quick with a gamepad as you were. Its definatly easier and more natural to drive a sim with a good wheel setup. Im sure you will find some time in all combos and also be able to drive the more on edge cars a bit better too.

Also lap times are very relative depending on conditions, it always makes it hard to compare outside of a server or a special event. You will just need to try join more races, and we will have one on tonight but its 60 minutes at Zolder.

Will be on an Aussie server this time SA80 250ms ping limit which you should still be under. Probably will race Nurburgring the next Wednesday and Monday with Wednesdays on the Singapore server and Mondays on the Aussie one.

 

After 2+ years I'm back on the wheel, my first DD wheel and a proper rig that doesn't flex every time you jump on the brake. I think my last setup held the peddle box down with zip ties.. Just got my laggy screen to upgrade to triples and i'm finaly done.. The wheel setup helps a lot especially on longer races and for hotlaps you can brake later than a GPAD..

Excellent I'll try and join tonight. What time Marty? Normally I get 160-180 to Oz however lately its been 220-250.. I might need to try a VPN. Oh I have only ever done one 1hr race and a handful of 45 min races. It should be interesting..
