1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Interesting, I never seen the variance fluctuate so much. It went from 23 to 2.

Yeah, dunno where the 23 came from. It was the test that was run with obviously too low gfx settings for the new gpu, maybe that causes some instability..

I got a nice performance boost since 1.8; I'm on druver 358.50. I get more fps now with highers gfx settings (aprox 25fps on average more):

As I run v-sync and my plasma tv does 60hz I decided that would be my go to setting! Did some lovely monza 66 with that very cool sloping corner curvy thing + 12 opponents or so. It stayed nicely locked on 60fps (except when doing tv-cam replay; it would drop to 44ish ).
Ok; so I decided to do Nordscleife track with 22 other cars and I get 44fps with grid start. I also noticed that cpu occupancy was around 94% at start and sometimes spiked well over 100%. Bumping down various settings didn't help improve this. With less cars in view framerate goes up to 60fps.

Seems my gtx is perfectly capable of doing good framerates at a mix of very high/max settings on fullhd; but my cpu bogs up with such a large track with 20+ different cars. Are there others with an older I7 which can verify that this is the case?

If only those benchmark results were a bit relevant for real racing against full grid of cars...
I'm getting 104 AVG FPS with triples in the bench, yet at the start standing on the grid full of cars it can barely do 70. Add a few HUD apps and it drops to 60 and even below

  8. martcerv

    martcerv Alien

Yea maybe time to update the bench for a full grid. I am getting something odd in the benchmark also it loads then just after it starts the screen goes black for a second. But then continues on normally, it does this in single or surround and I tried turning all apps off also a file verify yet it still does that each time.

I dont think it actually effects the benchmark. Also the minimum fps is kind of a useless number as this is because the cars start even before the bencmark loads. Maybe it should load and then the actual benchmark starts with cars still stationary on the grid and the race should start.

It still does server a purpose but having it there I think it could be more usefull. Even have options such as having visable apps on or off so we can get a comparison to see performance impacts of certain apps.

Just upgraded my T5600 workstation with a EVGA GTX1060 OC. What a huge difference coming from an old Quadro K5000. The biggest news is that my dual eight-core XEONs do not bottleneck the 1060. Probably could have gone with a 1070 without bottlenecking as well. This was my biggest worry with the upgrade.

Question: what is the HDR setting? I'd like to run a true apples to apples benchmark but don't see that setting.

Looking at the results @KillZoneGB is showing I dont understand how, I also have a gtx 1080 with i7 6700k @4.6 16Gb ddr4 3200 ram and 512GB samsung ssd. My 1080 is running at between 1980-2050mhz during the benchmark.

One thing that is kind of annoying is that the benchmark resutls doesnt show all the important ingame settings so its fairly pointless.

My CPU usage seems rather low for some odd reason but my main questions are why not show, reflection and mirror settings in the bench results as the txt file should be able to show all the performance effecting settings.

For me in game though I use my triple screen setup at 7680x1440 but as I only have 60hz screens at that res I run it for better IQ, at 4k I dont see much point in going for such high fps either if nearly all 4k screens are only 60hz. Reflection wise I normally run it at medium, medium and have mirrors maxed. I also just cap game at 63fps and make sure it always stays at this rate.

My CPU usage is really quite low in all tests for some reason, I have no issues with the results and it runs great for me, I just wonder why the cpu for him is much higher and his results are considerably higher. I assume its because reflection settings are very low.

Perhaps @KillZoneGB has post-processing disabled and you don't? My recollection, forgive me if I'm wrong, is that the PP: QLT:5... setting show up in the benchmark results regardless of whether PP is enabled or not.

I didnt think of that, I assumed that simply meant PP was on. It would be good if the benchmark actually showed all the relevant settings.

Also I think it should properly load and not start the actual frame count until the cars are all on the grid. Then give it a few seconds to go green and let it run. The way it is now the min fps is also a useless figure as its only the fps before the bechmark even really starts. Raising the grid number would also be more usefull.

I never see that low an fps and running afterburner stats you can see min fps never gets there.

Don't forget the higher the FPS, the Faster the I/O devices will run.
martcerv, good advice "I also just cap game at 63fps and make sure it always stays at this rate."

I`ll be capping mine @120, give my cpu a rest.
hopefully some time this week, I might be able to go online to see how my multi media system will fair.

    I`ll give the Icechill x3 a 5 out of 5, glad I gave it a punt.

Its weird that you have 17 more max fps when you compare 1.9.2 and 1.9.3. :/ You also had higher max with 1.8 than 1.9.2.

I see you have my same resolution and i would like to ask if can you please do a full maxed graphic benchmark test (reflections included) with that gpu and report results here? Just for comparison purposes.
