1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Can we expect button mapping or external keyboard support with the Red Pack release?

For me the ability to set the function of each button would be a good start.

Having Long Press/Tap for each button would be icing on the cake.

F1 2016 does the same with it´s in race menu (on PlayStation pressing o will open up the menu which you then have to navigate with the D-Pad), containing everything from brake bias to communication with your race engineer. I must say it is very cumbersome to navigate while focussing on braking points and apexes, and after some seconds it automatically disappears. Not a good implementation imho.

Soooo, I´d want free button configuration as a starter, then the addition of button boxes and/or keyboards later on. I have no doubt that these features will come, only question at this point is when it is coming. I can wait.

I really like the idea of long button presses too. All of these options could coexist, honestly. Reading up on keyboard compatibility with PS4 games, I'm feeling like AC console keyboard support is highly unlikely.

The Ferrari FS15-T is most complicated car in AC, bar none, in terms of complexity and different buttons. It's coming in the RedPack so surely there is some (new?) system to use all of it's systems. Otherwise it would be pointless, the systems are supposed to be used while driving. Just free mapping is not enough, most people run out of buttons. Hold button registering as different command and/or "comma rose" type of system is needed too.

Surely it can't be too difficult to implement custom button mapping ? It's already been done on console by simple fact the L2 button that operates the handbrake on the cars equipped with them has been remapped to operate DRS for the new Ferrari F1 cars ! Obviously the devs have the ability to re purpose this button, why not let us end users have the ability too so we can apply our own preferences to what button does what ?

Has anyone heard anything from kunos about custom button mapping yet? Would really like to know if it's coming or not so I can figure out if I really want to break open my t300 and wire my handbrake in or not. Would rather leave it the way it is but if that's not an option I guess it's going to get changed.

  7. Nothing concrete so far and i hoped for custom button mapping with redpack and Porsche 2.
