Rednex' Trump's meme aside, as well as users building dubitative walls around themselves, I'm glad to hear console players are getting private lobbies.

 

Now you guys will get to know and understand just what Kunos version of soon™ means.
As an example, back in January 2012 AC was coming soon™; it debuted on Steam Early Access in November of 2013. When it launched in Early Access MP was coming soon™, the first alpha MP debuted in May 2014.

Kunos is a tiny team of only a handful of devs, and the 505 team that in charge of the console port is the same; just be assured that no matter how much time each soon™ consumes, it will be worth it in the end for those that 'get' the feeling of driving a car that AC provides, but patience must be learned. (which for most of us is a huge PITA)

 

Ummm, where did my post go? Surely you have enough sense of humour to realise the Trump meme was a joke...oh deary me you mods really have lost the plot...take action against those who break your rules not just the console lounge.

It's good to see you've moved from saying you'll think about private lobbies to actually saying you will introduce them but the problem is still SOON. I'll beleive it when I see it and offer any praise when I do.

patch 1.03 0n console made a big difference not noticeable straight the way , wasnt untill you drive for a while that you noticed what kunos had done

Just based on my previous experience dealing with soon™, I am calling it now that you will complain about the X amount of time it took for soon™ to happen before you come close to offering up praise that what you wanted finally came to be. And you will likely ask/complain about how long soon™ takes at least a half dozen or more times between now and then.

Hope you prove my assumption incorrect.

 

Nope I've proven that assumption correct already, I've complained about soon many times and will continue to do so, I'm not alone either. All the same I like your humours well made point.

 

Here is the reason that Kunos no longer gives anything more than a vague hint of how long soon™ might be: As a battle scarred veteran of dealing with soon™ I can tell you that the only thing worse than the agony of patiently waiting through soon™ without knowing how long you will be waiting for, is to wait for a specific amount of soon™ only to find out that because of unforeseen circumstances there is still another undetermined amount of soon™ still to go. And no amount of crying/*****ing/pleading/shilling is going to make that amount of soon™ any less. That is the worst.

 

How is the response to this positive? You made a post about nothing. All the information in this post has already been known and you've added nothing. If anything this seems like attempt to distract from the incompetence that you've displayed thus far. You use the word "soon" and assume it's enough when really it's ****. Flat out? Come on.... The only redeemable thing you could've said was to apologize for the delay and be honest with us in saying it's unknown how long the update will take, instead you bull**** us with this post about nothing with no real schedule.

As an example, 3 weeks ago you said you submitted the update for approval and thus you've given no information. By this time you should've at least let us know whether it's still in the state of approval, did it get denied, if so, what needs to be worked on. You haven't even told us what is included in the update. This post has really made discouraged about the integrity and overall ability of this company and game.

As another example, you said almost the exact same thing about private lobbies in your last update and here we are with you feeding us more ****.

As soon as the patch lands is the next time I will play this game.

 

Lets hope this major update doesnt turn out to be a major disappointment to people.
Personally,apart from the lobbys,i would like to see fully customised controller mapping, i dont have space for a wheel set up unfortunately so a controller is the only way i can enjoy the game.
I realise you cant please everybody so fingers crossed but im more excited about the forthcoming update at the moment than buying dlc,hence the reason for not purchasing any yet.Once the games sorted i`ll splash out on the dlc.It was a similair thing with pcars for me,once the issues were sorted(ish) i bought the dlc and found the game more enjoyable.Just my opinion mind.

I never thought I would say this, I agree with you Kofo. It would be great if this was implemented on PC, not being able to drive the DLC cars but at least be able to race on the same servers. See once again Kunos think more about the console elites than they do about us lowly PC BETA testers. I blame it all on @Ace Pumpkin , see what you have done! SEE!

 

No mention of November for the Porsche Pack Volume I anymore has me slightly worried. Hopefully just an oversight...
