1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Corvette C7 throttle response

    Just updated to v1.5 and was very excited to try out the c7 vette. Upon loading I was disappointed immediately by the lack of and idle sound. not sure what is going on there. After getting over that I hit the throttle to see how it sounded and my disappointment grew much larger.

    Does anyone else feel like this car revs way too fast? It goes from idle to redline in a split second and no amount of throttle modulation will change that. It's like the throttle pedal is an on off switch and the engine has the worlds lightest flywheel.

    All that being said I find the car very hard to enjoy due to the throttle being extremely unpredictable. In general I think most cars in Assetto corsa rev too fast and have very non-linear throttles.

    Being an avid modder I know whats wrong and how to fix it but I want to speak up on the issue and hopefully improve this game.

    Yes. And the rpm also drop to fast. Like there is no flywheel. Other cars I tried are fine. Maybe a bug and whill be fixed.

    The issue is with the engine inertia, I haven't checked what it is but I can pretty much say for certain it is way too low. There also is probably an issue with the throttle table. I noticed that around 10% throttle doesn't do anything and around 15% is instant Rev limiter. Makes using the clutch and shifting smooth impossible.

    Yep, it feels broken. I can still modulate the throttle to where I can launch the car off the line at low rpm but it's quite challenging.

    That's probably the one physics related issue I've had in AC since early access that still bothers me. Engine response is good once the car is rolling but the idle throttle and engine inertia are just plain lacking in some cars. Same goes for the clutch. It's mostly an on/off switch unless you pick a very low power road car. Something has to change. Maybe Kunos are working on some advanced transmission/inertia model for the future, I don't know. I'm not complaining but it's good to raise the issue.
