1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

not sure about engine changes etc but i imagine it uses something based of the 650s which is vastly superior in everything especially reliability. VMAX should be higher and turn in might be better but i think the acceleration will be better with the mp412.

also 7 speed gearbox and wider track

  2. "S" is also later in the alphabet than "C", so presumably that means that it is better.
Go Faster Stripes unconfimed at this time.

I am unsure if the Escort is the road version or the race version though...?

Allegedly the 650 is easier to drive and has a wider slip angle at the rear, whereas the 12C could be described as quite "knife edge".

If I got to choose what car to drive in real life I'd want to drive anything else except F1 car. Basically any car from 2000 onwards. But in sim. I couldn't care about f1 cars at all. Even if kunos had 100% perfectly physically modelled f1 car in the game I couldn't care less. Everybody have driven f1 cars in sims. It is nothing new. Properly simulated road cars on the other are rare.

I think people have different ideas about fun cars in real life and in sim. In sims I love old race cars to death. In real life those cars would require immense technical driving ability. But in real life cars like f1 car would just be amazing physical experience. Just the sheer level of pure race car would be an experience on its own.

But in sim I'd pick gt86 with eco tires everyday all day over some boring f1 car.. Same with nissan gtr gt3. It is just yet another gt car. Nothing special about it. GT86 on the other hand.. Only realistic sims which have anything like that is basically the xrg in lfs or the solstice in iracing. That's it.

There are of course cars which are dull both in sim and in game. Take something like stock volvo v40 or any random normal car. Or basically any of the road cars from before 80s. Just understeer and lack of power. Old road version escort the same thing. Soft suspension, understeer, open diff and engine with probably 100hp max with long gears. It will be just as dull to drive in the sim as it is in real life. But with few small changes the car comes back alive. One could say that with some small changes it becomes very close to the gt86. The racing version on the other hand. Sublime. Or the road car with trackday preparation. Again, sublime. The gt3 can rot in the corner for all I care :)

maybe we will get the broadspeed escort! 1.3ltr 140+bhp I doubt we will but it would be really cool if we do get something like that.

if it is road going, perhaps the license they have will allow them to do an s3 that mimics a racing version to compete with the alfa

  9. If they announce the license is bathurst i think i will literally have to change my underwear !

Heh yes, I'm hoping too :)
It reminds me of Pcars, with a lot of content and physics left behind ( like we will manage it at the end...)

  14. Regarding the "street vs race" argument... Personally I'd rather old race cars or street cars (old and new). Serious racing is pointless here so I prefer having fun driving messy cars for fun than the usual GT cars... Which I race properly elsewhere anyway.
