1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

SF-70 vs F2004

Discussion in 'Chit Chat Room' started by motocrossrider250, Oct 1, 2017.

  1. I'm wondering if the F2004 is the faster car, because every time i do a hotlap i get about 3 seconds faster in the F2004, and i am 100% positive that the battery on the SF70 is fully charged when i begin the lap.

Which hybrid delivery mode are you using?

  4. I'm using hotlap and using the KERS to use any leftover battery power that is left to have the fastest lap possible. Also i just managed to get a 1:13 on Red bull ring, compared to my 1:11 with F2004

Are you using traction control? You would need to turn it off on the F2004 so it's a fair comparison.

Why? The F2004 is meant to use it, the SF70H isn't.

Keep in mind that the Hotlap mode uses a maximum of 70% deployment, if you wanna go faster maybe press the K2 button on the straights or find a better mode. Also I think the default setup for the F2004 is slightly better. Don't forget to lower the tyre pressures on the SF70 because they're ridiculously high by default.

Apart from that I don't know.

A question of my own (sorry for the OT): Are those 17psi pressures mandated by Pirelli? I mean, that's pretty much 10psi higher than optimal. It would just be a joke if that's the case.

  9. Yeah like I said I use up every last bit of the KERS for my hot lap, and yeah I lowered the tire pressure and I managed to knock off 1 second but I can't seem to get past that.

That seems way off the pace for both, For Red Bull Ring I'm doing low 1:07 and there's a heap more in it.

    Rsr timing shows the F2004 at a 1.04.162 and SF70H at 1.05.259

Are you getting your tyres properly heated up on both cars?
Could you record a replay from each car? I'd like to take a look and see if I can help.

IRL the 2004 and 2005 F1 cars had the most track records until the 2017 spec car was introduced. The 2017 car is consistently beating every track record with each race weekend, but in Assetto Corsa the F2004 is still the faster car. That doesn't reflect the real world behavior.

  15. I wouldn't really be worrying about real world correlation with either car when things like aero are so vastly off their real life counterparts. Once its been fixed to be somewhere 'in the ballpark' then its something to think about, but I don't expect any changes.

The 2017 car beats most qualifying records, but not many lap records so far. Keep in mind that in 2004 they had to qualify with the fuel load they would have at the start of the race, and refuelling was allowed. So it was slower on qualifying and faster on race pace in comparison to 2017. But I still believe that the F2004 was faster than the SF70-H, especially since Assetto Corsa doesn't have special ERS modes per circuit.

In real life, there is not a Kers button anymore I think, no? To active it manually I mean.
Does it work in AC when you press the button?

There is a K2 button and it does work on AC. They probably don't use it in real life because it shouldn't be very efficient.
They have modes especially created to deploy the energy at the best places of each circuit. Having the driver use that energy where he shouldn't would probably just mess up their pace on the long run.

  19. I'm not too experienced with replays, i'll look into it a bit more and see if i can do it.

Might i ask what you do for the setup? I can't seem to get it right.

That set up is honestly prety stock, just a little more front wing and 25L fuel I believe.
