1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Each title will have its own physics and telemetry, SC4 obviously utilises these for motion/wheel/Simvibe and the seat.
Our own settings will, of course, have a vast bearing on how and what the experience it produces may be like.

I'd expect its possible to make a hash of the wheel or motion experience if poorly configured with the software yet it's using the same data.
Look how crappy some of the "Default" settings are on Simvibe, some use tone values that are not the best for the effect being used at all. Err large bumps 60Hz and small 90Hz anyone, pffffffftttttt. :)

I have decided i am staying with Road bumps and Vertical texture on one kicker and the engine vibration with RPM sensitive volume on the other buttkicker.
This is enough effects for me for what i want to achieve.

@Mr Latte , can you take a look at my "settings" (i use mostly defaults) and maybe suggest some obvious, to you, changes on them ?

    @Psit
Certainly, welcome to send me a PM and we can discuss, more if you want.
One condition is you do a test for me in the process of tuning your own configuration.... :)

While everyone has their own preferences to how they like their effects it seems you using few effects but running most of the ones you are at their highest limits.

I find, a standard single engine vibration is quite dull in being a constant drone, especially with you also limiting the volume with the filter to only use approx 20% difference, that can work well but you set 1mph as the max speed.
So basically have a constant volume continuously for the engine. Try a minimum of 60% or less and 150mph top speed for max volume (this depends on car as some 100mph is good).

VT & RB are nice effects.
For your VT perhaps try reducing the SEN from 100% to mid 90s and possibly reduce the volume as some textures with AC are very strong. Seems to me you have this running almost going constantly at full volume too but textures are quite demanding on the tactile with such high SEN used. I know 100% is the default for this as well but this is perhaps why you are not feeling additional effects are much benefit.

Hit me on PM if you want and we can have a go ....

I started with one effect and did one lap, then another one to find the level and feel I wanted from each effect. Turned off the engine effect and a few others that I felt added noice. Had to go down to 80-85 sensitivity on a few of them to get the right feel.

Seems like adding to many effects on a single transducer just overloads it and drowns the effects.

Some effects can output almost a constant stream of frequencies and high settings. Indeed best way to test is do it one at a time but then when combined you can find you need to perhaps increase the volume of a certain effect as it gets drowned out with others also operating.

What are people's views regards Suspension Bumps "Compression & Decompression"

I've mostly only used compression but, admit that I may be under-utilizing the effect; more testing is needed.

These where the settings i could feel, and that added something to the sim. Running both compression and decompression.

Why do you think Ricmotech recommends the concert model over the BK-LFE (2ohms more power)?

I am only going for one and I think it is between the Earthquake Q10B and the Buttkicker Concert?

    Maybe the BK-LFE ?

I dont know why Ricmotech are promoting that product over the BK-LFE model.
Perhaps they have a good deal or margin on them when selling?

The "Concert" models are based for "Pro Audio" in reference to instruments/bands/musicians. I believe this model you are looking at emphasizes 25-40 Hz for such usage.
The LFE (Low Frequency Effects) model emphasizes 5-25 Hz which is what you want for Simvibe, yet this model was originally designed years ago for "Home Cinema" applications.
Buttkicker have had conflicting info on the Hz in the past but really that deal Ricmotech have isnt really that great when shopping around.

For $80 more you could have 2x BK-LFE and an inuke dsp 1000 amp from Parts Express or a single one with same amp for under $440
The dsp 3000 amp has more wattage and it costs only an additional $80 over the 1000 Model.

I have both amps so can confirm either amp will operate 2 units with Simvibe fine.
You also can control the amps via PC software and make use of their additional features.

    Hope its some help friend.

Why would I need a DSP for use with Simvibe, can't I just get the non dsp version ?

I just ordered the non-dsp version. We shall see... (130,- was a pretty good deal i think)
I will drive two reckhorn bassshakers with it - hopefully.

You don't (need) it but I covered some benefits recently in what it brings.
In general, you can tune the tactile/kicker you use in how they operate or deal with even individual frequencies. For the biggest shakers I say yes definitely go with DSP version.

Determine exactly what frequencies it will use, cut or boost their amplitude.
Simvibe itself does not offer this control.

It may sound complicated but it's a doddle to grasp with their "remote connect" software.
Different tactile/shakers all have their own abilities and characteristics with various performances and frequencies. The DSP lets you hone these frequencies to your preference and apply more energy to some while reducing others. This alters the operating character of the unit being used. Just as it would alter how a speaker would output the sound (some too bassy some too high with mid-range or treble) the principle is the same that you are tuning how the device handles such frequencies. It is nothing to do with Simvibe effects and people that may tell you it has little or no benefit, to me they clearly do not use it or know how to use it.

It also can be used to create presets for varying moods which you then save.
You might want full strength and impact using one saved setting, or you may want late night mode that reduces the energy of all the frequencies saved as another. This is another possibility with the DSP control.
Bottom line it just gives you more control over how your tactile/shakers will operate and to tune them to your own individual rig, preference or mood.

You also only get PC control with the DSP models.

Here is an example where DSP could be used, it's just a highlight of own personal research and tuning. I have learned quite a lot especially in the last couple of months but for my own desires to have the best possible Simvibe configuration and experiences this means understanding the effects and settings within Simvibe and being able to have more personalised control over the frequencies being output.

Do not look too much into the frequencies being used on each screen (these vary in real-time quite a lot) however, "Texture" based effects can be quite different to the "Tone Generated Bump" based effects.

It already has been officially divulged that Textures use a wider range of frequencies. You can see via the coloured spectrum analyser the differences with Textures being more of a constant wash of using a wider range of frequencies (*see Yellow in all 4 Chassis Mode Channels) whereas the Bumps show more spikes of energy. (brighter the Yellow the stronger). The frequencies are below but note Textures they will often use 5Hz and up producing very deep energy. What your "Bump Effects" generate will depend on the values you use and your settings.

Much of the lowest Hz may be lost on some models of tactile/shakers. Some models it may cause possible issues as the unit being used may operate best from just under 40Hz to around 80Hz . Beyond this the bass/tactile sensation gets much weaker.

@HoiHman (quoting a recent post you made)

"In general i don't use textures because it's an effect that's very hard to tune with my mini LFE's and often causes a lot of bottoming out when hitting the curbs or going offtrack.
Never got the textures right, so in the end i stopped using them"

With the inuke DSP, a user can alter the Hz by reducing/boosting specific ranges (let's say you want to reduce around 70Hz and boost 45Hz)
What if you wanted to fade out and remove all Hz below 38Hz as your unit may not work well with those, this would disable them from being generated giving your tactile/shaker less to do.
Or you may want to fade out higher frequencies as they are noisier and produce less bass, again this is possible or if desired to remove those from being generated.

So this is just an example of personalising "what" or "how much" your tactile will produce frequencies in felt vibrations from the effects Simvibe is using and the Hz they are generating. Also alterations are not made within Simvibe ruining your profiles or having to constantly adjust various sliders. Applying such on the inuke DSP amps is rather simple and can be saved as a profile setting or just bypass all such and amplify as normal.

*Below is not taken from inuke DSP features but using specialist (software/hardware)

Example of ALL Texture based effects in operation
    [IMG]

Example of ALL (Tone Generated) Bumps in operation

Yes you do not need any of this but I hope this is informative and of help to those that may seek additional tuning or control options for the tactile/shakers they use.

No doubt you will be impressed with it BBernes and look forward to your impressions.

I would, of liked at some stage out of interest to of compared the Concert to the LFE directly together to then have user experience with both.
Never seen a proper comparison or review of each to determine how much difference is felt regards the mentioned emphasis of 5-25Hz for the LFE compared to the stated 25-40Hz for Concert models.

For example, is it quite noticeable or mainly just marketing on Guitammer's part?
