1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Thoughts For 0.5

  1. I think AI is coming but only for some cars and tracks.

I think AI is important right now because solo driving -- as nice as it is -- does get a bit boring. If by release of 1.0 in May we have AI + MP + Pit Stops (even if it is just initially stopping to a lollpop man, pausing and waiting for fuel and tyres) I'll be a very happy camper.

  3. I've asked Aris about pit stops with just lollipop man and haven't gotten an answer...not a good sign; he usually responds back fairly quickly. Not an issue for me as I will probably be running 10 to 15 lap races on my public server but seems to be a showstopping deal breaker for many. Hopefully we get a nice surprise by V1.0

Scoreboards provide excellent intrinsic motivators. People want to be the best, so they spend more time in the sim. The more time people spend in the sim, the more likely they are to find weird behavior. When people find weird behaviors, they like to show it off. When people show weird behavior in the software, tickets get filed. When tickets get filed, improvements are made. Scoreboards lead to improvements ;)

I look forward to a less lonely track, even if the AI is rough.

Racing vs AI will improve your skills a lot more i think :)

*edit* opps i just missed the point of your post... xD

The AI seems great to me in those videos, mostly by the fact the whole grid survived the first chicane at Monza without a scratch. (I can't say the same for the Artificial Ignorance of a certain other sim in development...)

  7. Only just joined AC but it seems they have better control on the project than ISI on rF2. Personally I'm glad they focus on features iso of more cars and tracks. There is already something to drive for everybodies taste and the modders will soon start to deliver their contributions.

I know ppl would like AI to race, put prior to AI to race I would like to have some damage so I don't ram into cars and get the corner and also some basic Aero concepts effects. Like draft and downforce loss when close to other car.

Would be cool if the A.I could learn your braking lines and such over the course of a race. It's an ambitious idea but just putting it out there.
