1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Keyboard input is digital. JoyToKey does however support key press frequency depending on an analogue axis, in case that makes sense in such a situation (e.g. keyboard-steering for some old racing games).
I don't know how well that would work with the look left/right function in AC, never tried it, since I don't use those.

  2. In-game the look-left/look-right is a "yes" or "no". So even if JoyToKey can alter the frequency of the button-press by reading an axis, it would only be digital in-game. As long as there is no analogue axis available to be assigned for this, it won't work, I guess.

They don't need to implement anything sure, but it would help so people don't have to jerk around in order for their gear to work properly.

True, but from what I've understand, it's pretty much the same as what mistor_dog suggested.
Well yes, but what's the point of implementing a half-arsed thing if you can achieve the same with some 3rd-party software?

And actually I think the TrackIR software has implemented something like that as well, but I'm not sure and can't check right now, since I'm not at home.

It's not half arsed with regards to Edtracker as adding 2 customisable buttons would enable full functionality, but with regards to all eyetrackers out there yes as they still wouldn't work. Lets just hope the whole protocol is included soon.

At last, a real hint from Lord Kunos: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...e-progress-is-really-slow.59044/#post-1072210

"A simplified "roadmap" can be summarized as follow:

    1) Fix what's already in the game but doesn't perform properly. Ie. crashes & bugs
    2) Reintroduce the features that were taken temporarily out because of stability concerns. Ie. pitcrew, saves, stats
    3) potentially introduce new features and hardware support: ie. trackIR support and so on"

This means that I have to sell my webcam, which I especially bought for head tracking. I tried head tracking (webcam with Facetrack No IR) on a triple monitor setup in Assetto Corsa (not Competizione to avoid misunderstandings) and it is a very good feature. So head tracking on a triple monitor is marvelous. Too bad it doesn't work in ACC.

  11. The @Lord Kunos said that after they have finished stabilizing the game as a whole, and implementing the features that are pending, they will start supporting new hardware. He expressly cited the trackir.

I think they are still in phase 1 and 2.

That is great news. I ' don't own one however I am very keen to invest in one when I finally get my new monitor. I noticed the 49" 32:9 still does not show the side mirrors with a low FOV so I think this would be a nice addition for this setup. I think you just made a lot of people happy and fried a few keyboards :p:D:cool:

Nice development, with Track IR support then even freetrack devices will work.

  16. Don't waste your money on original TrackIR (around 200€), you can get something from trackhat.org, which works pretty good.

Or DelanClip: https://delanengineering.com. If you just want to try-before-you-buy, try Opentrack (probably the best head tracking software, even considering TrackIR) with an Aruco tracker:
