1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Seriously feel like I've been in a major driving slump for especially these last two challenges. To add onto that, RBR is one of those tracks that really punishes people who don't get out of corners fast. That said, slowly but surely I'm finding my way along with this Alfa's braking and cornering capabilities. MUCH more pleasant there than with the heavyweight R35. But damn does this feel all too easy to recover on oversteer than with an Aventador SV unassisted around Nordschleife. I think I should set my ego and curiosity aside and take this same Alfa around the Nordschleife instead of that other demon of a car...

    IIRC the last time I've been really competitive was with the Giulietta. I'm a happy Alfa Romeo owner IRL, and I guess AC is so much a good sim that it can feel it :D

    Yup! Gotta put my hands together for the first corner on @ESC tonin 's hotlap. Forget me and my weak 80-something km/h entry! I'd be eating good dust after just the first corner, let alone after the second and third ones. Hopefully I can get a low 1:49 or even 1:48 after witnessing greatness...

    I think the problem is, we're all so desperate to make our way up the table that we try to hard. I feel this same frustration, but I know if I could let myself relax and just concentrate on driving I would go faster. I'm going to turn off the HUD in practice mode tonight, so I'll have no idea what my lap times are, and just build a rhythm. Although I won't get immediate feedback, or even know which lap was my fastest - and I won't be able to use it in the WHC - in the long term it could help build some good habits.

    Hitting the wall...we've all been there.

    Whilst I'm not fast, when I get stuck my tactic is to save my current set up and then create a new one, taking it in a completely different and extreme direction (I guess options are limited in the Alpha but I'd add a full tank of petrol, big adjustments to tyre pressures and mess with the alignment in a big way).

    The key is make the car drive as differently as possible, and break all those habits you have formed whilst getting to the wall, once you have mastered your new extreme set up go back to the original, this (hopefully) does 2 things:

    I will have learnt something about the handling of the car, which may help me improve the old set up
    I will have to re-adapt to my old set up, and hopefully breaking some of the driving habits which were stopping me progressing.

    For me, this approach often finds be a bit of extra time when all seemed lost before.....

    I've still got to get the wall with this weeks challenge though, will try some more laps later

    I think my ghost has nitro boost now ... Gained about .6 of a second last night but after that I'm about .3 ahead of the ghost mid lap but by the end I'm .2 down..
    Must have nailed the final section on the ghost and can't get close anymore.

    I'd be happy and walk away from this weeks challenge if I a could get under 48's .. only need .124

    Then we are ex aequo. Exact the same time deserves a bonus on its own. Maybe even more difficult then anything else. Good motivator right :)
    But !!! Because you set this time sooner you should be placed above me. Don't know what the strict regulation says about this but I'm fine with this solution.
