1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Yeah there is a little rubber bit in the brake pedal I'll probably remove tomorrow, you get to about 60% of its travel range then you basically have to stand on it to get it any further. The precision you can have with a wheel in this is much much better than I was expecting. Also next time I get to go to my local track I'll be all up to date on my heel toe practice haha.

Beginners luck with a spot of left foot braking...The only thing that is really bugging me was the entry to Stowe.

If you hadn't figured it out already the setup I am using was at the end of my previous clip, for this run went to 18 on rear toe to try and get a little more rotation.

Fair warning, I don't profess to really know what I am doing or that the settings will work for anyone else!

As usual the session screen is included in the clip, I also remembered to save the replay so have included the cockpit view as well...

IMO people fall into a trap with FFB, they think like Jeremy Clarkson...POWER! But that just hides all the important stuff ;)

    Bob,

For the G920 Get the GTEYE brake spring and fit it without the rubber block that is in the brake at the moment.

It is well worth the money, they sell them on Ebay.

I will look into it, I honestly don't mind the feel it has now. Feels very similar to my track car (just requires a bit more pressure), but with the pressure it takes, and the distance between the gas and brake it feels awkward to heel toe. Anyways thanks guys, and now I can actually say I can drive and it's not just easy for me because I was using a controller haha ;)

You don't really need to heel toe in assetto on ps4 at least, you can left foot brake and blip throttle for down shifts just clutch for upshifts..

I'll give that a shot, not sure what'll be weirder left foot braking or not heel toeing haha. Thanks!

    This.

Whenever you start the Hotlap (or any race/practice/etc), whilst sitting still, press all the pedals till the end and release. This somehow calibrates the brake/acc/clutch.
To me, it has become a habit now. Whenever I start game, press all of them pedals down.

Congrats on the wheel, @HavanaB0B. And, shifter, this just puts the AC to another level :)

I am doing very bad heel and toe downshifts, I have destroyed several engines so far :) I tried left foot braking in the corners that I don't make a shift entering last night (Abbey and the Link / Becketts).

Abbey is just a light dab, to get the car turned in, trying not to lift at all which I am still trying to get my head around!

The link / Becketts is more interesting, 4th gear seems to be faster than third but only if everything is absolutely spot on! I think third is more consistent and would make that shift when actually racing ;) I am experimenting with left foot braking here to try and trim my line in the middle and at exit rather than lifting...

Edit, this corner (The link/ Beckett) could be considered the most important on the track as it leads to the longest straight, Club would be the second one to concentrate on as that leads to the next longest straight...Then Stowe...

Being consistent when hotlapping does help, but I am now searching for hundredths, at the end of the day if I can find a time I will try and take it!

Hey Bob awesome to see u didn't skip a beat transitioning from pad to wheel .
AND for ur heel toe what I did is if u look at the pedals u can remove the 2 Allen screws and move the pedals 1/2 inch left or right to make the brake and gas closer.. that's what I did .;)

Thanks, that should definitely solve my problem! I've only turned about 15 laps with it and still have much to learn, but it is absolutely amazing.

I do remember the first time i used a wheel. My first wheel was a Logitech GT wheel for PS2 and i used it with GT3 back in 2001. I never turned back to the controller.

It's all about harnessing that lift off oversteer to get the car rotated in corners like village, vale, and the link. Then minimize the scrubbing as much as possible especially in Stowe, Abbey, and Farm.
