1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Yeah exactly the same for me. It starts to get frustrating.
    I’m having a break from it today then maybe have another try tomorrow.
    I found more time by using the brakes less and using the gears to slow it down slightly but then once I can’t improve I immediately start overdriving the car and lose time.

    Three hours at a time? I wish I had that dedication. Two runs, 5 laps then 6, and off.

    This is a great combination Hugo. What you said in the intro about having had the toy version of this car made sense to me.

    I used to have a slot car set with a load of F1 cars from the late '70s and early '80s. My favourite was a JPS Lotus 79. My father changed it to #6 and painted the driver helmet blue to make it like Ronnie Peterson, who was his favourite driver.

    Using the Lotus 72 in Assetto Corsa or the ill fated '78 in Project Cars1 lets me play with Ronnie's cars all over again 40 years later. He's still my Dad's favourite driver.

    My friend and I were supposed to have another go at improving our personal bests (his being a 1:33), but unfortunately I ran into problems with likely the throttle pedal sensor and it registers no input now. Clutch and brake work just fine, but all in all I'm probably out for at least the next 2-3 hotlap challenges. Oh well! Life finds numerous ways to test your patience and this is nothing different.

    Setup, I believe, was moderate on aero, light on fuel, soft tires, zeroed toe, and increased values on the power and preload differentials. No idea what exactly my friend did, but it provided me with this laptime.

    On another note, @Fab85 (and anyone else using a controller) I salute you and your insanity. This game's a complete horror show with a d-pad and the experience that is AC for me goes from being 10/10 to a -10/10. The F2004 is somewhat driveable, but the Gallardo S3 and Shelby Cobra are just insulting to drive. As much as I love cars and AC, I'd probably chuck the game and my controller in the trash in a heartbeat if I could never use a wheel and pedals again... haha

    Found it really hard to get a complete lap in only 3 I think in the whole session, but how I can knock 10 sec off that I have no idea. Kudos.

    @moodyryder the toy i had was a Jaguar i belive,at least it was green and white (i doubt it was an official product,i was most likely something made to reseamble).it even came with pitcrew :) i also had smaller F1s that came with those happy meals from McDonald's.But what i used to love were Hot Wheels,specially muscle Cars.
    Ronnie is one of my favourite drivers aswell.Too bad it didnt end well for him.Sliding the 72d around Monaco was not for everyone,but for Ronnie wasnt a big deal

    Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try.

    Turns 4, 6 and 7 are letting me down. I can't seem to recreate my fastest lap, the ghost car pulls away down the straights. I make up a little time at the chicane near the end of the lap, but it's not enough.

    Very happy with my lap time as i've only managed 1 hours worth of play this week.
    Well done everyone and thanks to Hugo.I'm off to watch F1.That bloody halo does not make for good on board shots.I wonder if codies will include the halo??,it'll make driving a nightmare for those who race with that camera.
